My babies that I raised, but they only lasted a couple of days after putting them on the pond, sadly. I am however very glad I took the picture, it is comforting.
Thank you Sherril, however they were ducks and not swans, a swan would be too elegant for the pond, but it is a nice thought anyway. The green algea wouldn't have harmed them, but the foxes or the coyotes one devoured every last one of them, in just a couple of days, it broke my heart, as I had raised them up with the intention of them sticking around for a long time. When you live on a farm, you have to get used to loss, and yes they were very beautiful, thank you.
