Trivia, those little annoying facts that get stuck in our heads and have no rhyme or reason for everyday living... but man, they can be amusing sometimes... We can all use a little lighthearted entertainment from time to time... I am a firm believer that laughter, dancing, singing and any joyful expression is a gift from God to his children... It is a gift given to be shared, one to another to lighten the heart and lighten our earthly loads... So, with that, post away... please keep it respectful as this is an open (public) thread... And as always have fun with it!

"A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;"
Ecclesiastes 3:4

In Scotland, a new game was invented. It was entitled Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden...and thus the word GOLF entered into the English language.

A dime has 118 ridges around the edge.

Leonardo Da Vinci invented the scissors.

Women blink nearly twice as much as men.

Cows eating in a pasture (no matter how many there are) will ALL face the same direction.

Trust me, you don't want to challenge this... I WILL prove to be right, as strange as it sounds.

Dimes have 118 ridges on their edges. Yes, I know how many the other coins have, too. LOL

The Bible has been translated, in whole or in part, into more than 1,100 languages and dialects.

About 30,000,000 copies of the complete text of the Bible, or of its principle parts, are distributed annually.

The first book printed with movable metal type was the Gutenberg Bible, printed by Johannes Gutenberg, before August 15, 1456, in Mainz, Germany.

The first printed Bible divided into verses was a Latin edition by Pagninus, printed in 1528.

The first complete English version of the Bible divided into verses was the Geneva Bible, printed in 1560.

The Bible was written by some 50 men, only one of whom (Luke) was a Gentile.

I'm not sure to understand the Thread...
I read your introduction and all I understood
is that we can post what we want by being respectful...
Anyway, sometimes I misunderstand.

It is just a thread about some knowledge you may have about something odd and obscure.

For instance: Certain snakes can go for months without eating a thing.

Or........ A cockroach (insect... cafard) can slide its skeletal vertebrae so that it can flatten itself so thin, it can crawl through a 4mm opening under a door.

In the NHL, a team can be awarded a goal without the puck entering the net.

I was at a game this past season and saw it happen.

was living in Florida at that time... Great Game, Big Hockey Fan!
