I have been reading about this 6.5 MM Creedmore cartridge. They say it has really long range potential. Manufacturers like Savage, Mossberg, Ruger and Springfield all make precision rifles chambered for it. I believe it is used in a short action like the .308 Winchester. I wonder what the recoil is like, as I have bad shoulders. Has anyone here shot it? Another goodie is the 6 MM Creedmore. Any experienced here with these cartridges? 
It is a .223. Probably good to 600 meters. It's got a Krieger barrel with 6.5 to 1 twist. I've built it awhile ago, just got a scope mount for it. I was sighing it in, with sime old military m193 crap. Still got 3/4 inch groups on paper at 100 yards. I'm going to work up some loads with 75+ grain bullets, and see what it can do. The rail is the cheapest thing on it. I think I got it off of Amazon a few years ago for less than 40 bucks. That is going to be my varmit gun. I have an M4 style carbine with a bunch of gadgets hanging off of it, and I have another AR15 all light weight, daniel defense barrel, kinda set up like a 3 gun style AR. I think the next one I build will be a .300 blackout, set up with a suppressor.
For long range, I'm a fan of the .300 win mag. That is about as expensive of a rifle that I can afford. Remington 700 are pretty good out the box with those.

If I didn't have my Swede, I'd be tempted to get a Creedmoor upper for my AR. Same thing with the .300 Blackout... I already have an SKS... the ballistic twin of the Blackout. And ammo is cheaper for the SKS.

The boating accident meme is a joke from the gun community, detailing how they would go about responding to anyone seeking their firearms during a hypothetical confiscation.
The joke began on /k/ as a response to numerous inquiries towards users about what they would do during a hypothetical confiscation of private firearms, caused by whatever reason. These questions where met with responses similar to:
"Guns? What guns, officer? I lost all my guns in a tragic boating accident" with the implication that they would in fact never actually surrender their firearms.
The meme has since become an in joke in the gun community.
