Can you get prayed up and speak to the pain?
I have hard severe pain and been prompted by the
to speak to the pain, "pain be gone in Jesus Name"
and been immediately delivered of it.
Just prayed about your situation in Jesus name
and sensed a move of the Spirit, please receive it
in Jesus name.

I appreciate the prayers and well wishes.

If there is one thing this weird time has shown me, it's that the people God has placed some of his kindest children around me. Online and off.

^^^I'm glad you brought up corporal punishment. I almost forgot about how I used to feel that one of the problems with society now is the lack of corporal punishment that started in the 90's. I remember how corporal punishment was a hot topic back then and people were basically saying that a good parent does not need to spank their kids....

Now I'm not saying that ALL spanking is good. I know that too much is downright abusive and can permanently damage a child's self esteem... But I think that no spanking at all has contributed to the brazen, self-righteous attitudes and lack of compassion and humility that seem to be rampant in modern society now... And that it is somehow relative to a lot of the mass shootings.

I like to bike around for exercise. Ran into a pile of sticks to avoid a car. Went flying off my handles. Crunch.

Really, my injuries were minor compared to what they could've been. So I just took my lumps and thanked God.

It's been about two and a half weeks. I anticipate another four or so for a full recovery. Most of my range-of-motion has returned. The nights are getting easier to sleep through.

The worst part has honestly been the painkillers they've prescribed. I can't read anything deeper than the Chronicles of Narnia without totally spacing out and even then it's a near spiritual experience. :p

I'm trying to pivot to Tylenol. If the pain is bearable that way, I'll at least be able to get back to my favorite sedentary hobbies.

That said, I'm a wayyyy more interesting poet while under the influence. :p

There are some natural pain relievers that are quit legal, kratom is one.
They say it is an opiate without being an opioid and has been used to get people of those nasty opioids.
I think I saw something about the alternatives on the natural forum here.

You know, I really have not looked into other choices beyond what they normally advertise and prescribe.

Could be worth a try. Thank you for this and your prayers, Shittim.

Didn't the dentist in the old west make use of medicinal whiskey?
It was probably in in every settlers medicine supply.

They also used hard booze as a sedative for minor surgical operations.

James K. Polk had his gallbladder worked on with a hefty portion of brandy flowing through him.
