Poor Aretha Franklin has ended up on both sides of the divide today. This is amusing.

Incidentally, she also did a cover of "Spanish Harlem", my latest offering in the anti-feminist thread.

Franklin is now 2-2. :p

Actually, she is very consistent. She sings songs of the power of women. I always hoped that rose in Spanish Harlem picked who she wanted, instead of being picked because she was a fragile, delicate little rose who couldn't survive on her own without being picked. And considering her eyes could penetrate deep to the guy's soul, it is likely that's what happened. lol

If you're doing a count on which side she falls on? Make it 2-2-1

She has no problems telling of the foolishness we women are also known for. :)

The video has everything to get "anti-feminists" to twitch, burst blood vessels and feed their paranoia.

A woman rapping about being bad girls, racing fast cars, doing what she wants in an Arabic setting with non-whites all around.

If the strong powerful woman theme is not enough, then a sprinkling of xenophobia should do it.

Have you thought about the lyrics to Respect? "I'm about to give you, all my money- and all I'm asking from you honey is to give me respect when I get home."

Sounds like she is taking care of a man child. Unless he is unable to work, of course.

This falls under the heading of "anti-men" songs, which is why I quit listening to them...

"Men" by the Forrester Sisters
