I really like Joel Osteen, Joseph Prince , TD Jakes , but people all seem to think they are false preachers.
Is there anyone out there who agrees with me?

I listen to the heart and my heart tells me what they preach is true to The Word. I do not worship them or obsess over them, I just get encouragement in my faith from what they teach, to do good in the world and stay positive.

If Jesus only offered you relationship with him, and your simple needs met, would you be fine with that message?

Well, listening to your heart will do know good. You have to listen to the HS. The heart, your heart, is deceitful above all things. In our flesh we love to hear things that make us feel good. I don't know much about Joseph Prince but from what I've seen he seems legit. TD Jakes can be over the top. I'm not too fond of the overly pentacostal performance that happens. However, I think he's also legit. My only issue is with Osteen. His doctrine is way off in many areas and he plays on that part of our flesh that wants to feel good. He waters down the gospel and adjusts it to carnal tastes. In my opinion, too much of what he says is very theologically incorrect.
With all preachers we have to use our brain and seek the guidance of the HS. Even good preachers get off sometimes. However, when thy are consistently off, or err in a major way, we need to be very careful what we allow them to speak to us.

Jud 1:4 For certain men crept in secretly, those having been of old previously written into this condemnation, ungodly ones perverting the grace of our God for unbridled lust, and denying the only Master, God, even our Lord Jesus Christ.

All these men are wolves in sheeps clothing, you lack discernment, and if your heart is telling you these men preach the truth, then your heart has been deceived, and you need to wake up and come to a real saving faith.

What these men teach and many more Like them, will lead you and the millions who follow and support them down the road to perdition.

They are causing great damage to the word of God, and the blood of countless gullible and ignorant souls are on their hands!

They are what Jesus called brood of vipers, blind leaders of the blind, wolves who prey on the simple minded, who fleese the flock for gain!

Do your homework, your soul and the souls of your family are at stake here, you are in great deception and must wake up, repent, stop supporting these charlatians, and seek the mercy of God, but you must do this first:

Jas 1:21 Therefore putting aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, receive in meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls.
Jas 1:22 But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Joseph Prince-Good

T.D. Jakes-Sound but a bit noisy for me

Osteen-Prosperity gospel. Just think positively and all will be peachy. If you are needy it is your lack of faith and thinking negatively. He does not consider it his duty to preach about sin at all. He said this himself. God never promised those who would follow him a rose garden or a cadillac...or a multi-million dollar home.

Like Jordache says...you can not go by your heart! If we could count on what our heart tells us there would be no reason to rely on the Holy Spirit.

Joel Osteen is a preacher that does nothing but preach happiness and self fulfillment. There is no sin, hell, conviction, struggle. And he touches on Word of Faith teachings, which are lined up with new age teachings.
Also, Oprah seems to think hes great, and shes no Christian and seems to have a problem with most Christians. Yet she likes Osteen because he sounds more like a positive thinking self help guru than a genuine preacher.

yes, I agree with you , I do think maybe JO does not reference the bible very much but I personally do not question him , well not anymore. No preacher leaves me with a feeling to go out and live to make money or anything that contradicts the bible, and when I get that vibe I would never act on what people say. I follow the bible and Christs words and I just pray the stronger in my faith I become , I will go down the right path.

If you watch or listen to someone like that...or anyone and you get a feeling or sense to flee or change the channel...that could be the Holy Spirit warning you. He will guide you into all truth if you are submitted to him. Do not ignore too often or his voice can become harder and harder to hear.

Thank You.

I can be naive and paranoid, so i may act irrationally and get bad vibes from every1 all i can try to do is try and listen to the HP more and more, and try to be more in tune with Christ. It is not my mission in life to find out the truth , I just want to do what is right, I will still listen to all the people I listed but God is my true teacher and I only follow him.

to be honest, i really would never ever ever ever ever ever consider Joel Olsteen a preacher or a TV evangelist. i would put him in a category of a self help motivational speaker like Tony Robbins........ & i also see him as someone who really creeps me out you know with that smile of his when he looks into the camera gives me creeps....... and i second on what Anonimous said if you get a feeling you should change the channel & don't watch him again then do it, i've heard alot of preachers speak out against him seeing him as a false teacher or a wolf in sheep's clothing

I get what everyone is saying, and agree with some of it. There are so many "preachers" out there that you have to be careful who you allow to teach you. I know we all have different gifts and talents and God uses those talents as he sees fit. You may have one person who can preach and get you to feel the fear of God and that brings you to repentance. Then there is one who can be uplifting and provide you with words of the peace, joy and the love of God. And then there are those who are teachers and can show you God's word and how you should live as a Christian in way that you can receive it and understand it. As the body, we all have different roles and as I mentioned talents. I'm not going to bash any of the preachers mentioned because that's just not me, all I can say is that we all need to be careful who we allow to teach us. Always look things up for yourself, pray about what you learn and study it for yourself. A real preacher of the word will always tell you to study what you have heard and put it into practice. Studying it is key, otherwise you are just being led blind.

I'm not bashing anyone. I'm pointing out the facts of the person and their teachings. There is a difference between showing false teaching and bashing.

I used to take calls for Joel Osteen and many of the "TV" ministries until last month when my call center was closed. I think Joel Osteen is not teaching the word of God and agree that he is more of a motivational speaker than a preacher.
I like TD Jakes but sometimes he is prideful when he preaches.
Most of these pastors have $$ as their main motivation. I know this from the calls I took for them and the upsells for donations I had to solicit.
The only TV pastor I like is Dr. Charles Stanley. He teaches the bible and talks a lot about obedience, repentance, and living for God. He never begs his congregation for money like most TV evangelist does. He is a humble pastor that really lives what he preaches. God continues to bless his ministry with resources year after year. If I were to recommend watching or supporting a ministry it would be his.
But remember your ultimate teacher is the Holy Spirit and God will lead you to the truth through His spirit. You have the mind of Christ and through the Spirit teaching you God's word you can discern for yourself what is true.

yes, joel is a great motivational speaker, bad pastor. I do not think " hellfire and brimstone" sermons are good, but you should talk a lot about sin and obeying God.

I'm not a big fan of Joel Osteen, as he just preaches a very watered down sermon. Plus, he can't even answer simple questions about Christianity, as displayed in interviews with him.
