What are your thoughts on a Christian having a 7 candle Menorah to remind them of the "Holiness of God".
Not the 9 candle Menorah or Chanukiah.

The menorah symbolized the ideal of universal enlightenment. The seven lamps allude to the branches of human knowledge, represented by the six lamps inclined inwards towards, and symbolically guided by, the light of God represented by the central lamp. The menorah also symbolizes the creation in seven days, with the center light representing the Sabbath. It is also said to symbolize the burning bush as seen by Moses on Mount Horeb (Exodus 3).

If it reminds you of Jesus, go for it. Just don't let it replace Him.

7 Branch Menorah I like it and to have one around who knows what truths God may give a person one day when he sits there and meditates on it. What a wonderful way to give glory to the LORD in our house
Central shaftYeshua
John 15:1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is thevinedresser.
Center candle is theservant candle Yeshua
Matthew 20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come tobe served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
This Menorahrepresents Yeshua , The 7 Spirits of God and the churches.
There are 7 Spiritsof God listed in Isaiah 11:2, They are (1) Spirit of the LORD, (2)Spirit of wisdom, (3) Spirit of understanding, (4) Spirit of counsel, (5)Spirit of power, (6) Spirit of knowledge, (7) Spirit of the fear of the Lord.
Revelation 1:4 - John to the seven churches ( all the Churches)whichare in Asia ( To go out, to rise): Grace be unto you, and peace, from himwhich is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits whichare before his throne;
Revelation 3:1 - And unto the angel ( messenger) of thechurch in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits ofGod, and the seven stars ( messengers; I knowthy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
Revelation 4:5 - And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings andvoices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which arethe seven Spirits of God.
Revelation 5:6 - And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the fourbeasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns ( complete strength )andseven eyes( understanding), which are the seven Spiritsof God sent forth into all the earth
Zechariah 3:9 See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes onthat one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,' says the LORDAlmighty, 'and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.
Zechariah4:10 "Who despises the dayof small things? Men will rejoice when they see the plumb line in the hand ofZerubbabel. "(These seven are the eyes of the LORD, which range throughoutthe earth.)"

The Lampstand Exodus 25
[SUP]31 [/SUP]“Make a lampstand of pure gold. Hammer out itsbase and shaft (Isaiah 53, 1Corinthians 3:11, Isaiah 28:16, Ephesians 2:20) and make its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms of one piece with them. [SUP]32[/SUP]Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand—three on oneside and three on the other. [SUP]33 [/SUP]Three cups shaped like almond ( resurrection, life) flowers with buds and blossoms areto be on one branch, three on the next branch, and thesame for all six branches extending from the lampstand. [SUP]34 [/SUP]Andon the lampstand there are to be fourcups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms. [SUP]35[/SUP]One bud shall be under the first pair of branches extending from thelampstand, a second bud under the second pair, and a third bud under the thirdpair—six branches in all. [SUP]36 [/SUP]The buds and branches shall all be ofone piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.
Each of the branches are decoratedwith 3 bowls , 3x7= 21 the center branch has 1 extra bowl =22
Each bowl has a bud and a flower 3 x22 = 66. It looks to be a testament to the 66 books of the Bible. Yeshua is also called the word.
John 1:1 In thebeginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 15:5"I am the vine; you are the branches. If aman remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you cando nothing.
John 8:12 Jesusspoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me willnot walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 1:4 In him waslife, and that life was the light of men.
John 12:46 I have come into the world as a light, so that noone who believes in me should stay in darkness
1 John 1:6 If weclaim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do notlive by the truth

Here comes Judaism again. Constantine outlawed Judaism in the fourth century and church councils through the years have spoken against it. We do true worship in today's churches, we worship with our head and hearts, led by the Holy Spirit. But often times, without our doing any of the physical rituals to remind us of what we need to do in our worship, we simply don't do the true worship.

I think we have much to learn by studying and even following Judaism. I put a mezuzzah on my doorpost, it reminds me that I and my house belong to God. I light candles on the eve of the Sabbath blessing God for giving us the Sabbath and asking God to bless me and my family.

Judaism is all about Christ, even if many of even today's Jews do not know this. There is a difference between using symbolism in our worship, and thinking the symbols are enough.

Thank You for your relpies.

Personaly, I can't fathom the "Holyness of God", The "Nature of God", or the Love that is behind the "Reconciliaton of man to God".
The menorah reminds me of my overwhelming awe for Jesus. A spiritual sense that I can't begin to explain.
