Actually, it's a perfect analogy because both are sinful behaviors that have addictive properties. Not unlike Alcoholism.
I can abstain from sex for the rest of my life but still have the desire to be with a man, and have a lover. Even if i controlled lustful thoughts very well, it just wouldn't be as much with lust. Speaking from experience here where I used to repeat Bible verses about homosexuality to myself every morning and throughout the day, and try to abstain from the thoughts. It's something much deeper and it has always been a part of my being/identity in some form or fashion.

We all can help each other as we each try our best to walk so it is in keeping with the kingdom we ask to be on earth in our daily prayers. With the media and TV showing us so much of the other side of living it gets harder and harder.

My Grandson was a model for years, traveling the world going from assignment to assignment. The percentage of models who live this lifestyle is amazing. It is difficult for a straight to live in that world. Hollywood is overrun with people crippled with this idea of living.

I commercial fished In the 60's, we spent months at sea with no TV available. The first program we saw after months with no TV showed a couple who fell in love, and there was no question about waiting for marriage. We were shocked. Everyone else had been gradually introduced to this idea so it seemed natural to them.

It is a strange, brainwashed world we are living in. I am so old I can remember our world without these odd ideas in it. Life truly is more difficult, now.

How much do you want to help thinking it?
The best way to replace the habit of thinking about men in a sexual manner is to redirect your thoughts when you find them turning toward something that the Bible points out as unbiblical. Really want to nip it in the bud? Start reading the Bible like you love the Lord.

but i cant help thinkin stuf...

This is a really old thread. I doubt the OP is around the forums anymore.
