Its sad people are lonely enough to make such scams viable.
And, if it's not a scam, it's just as sad. Some poor lady thinks she can only attract a guy by showing off her looks. And, sadly, we only try things more than once, if it works for us, which means she tried this before and got the attention she craved just by looks. Which says something about men too.

For everyone's edification, I will give an account of what happened. I received a pm saying that she needed my help. I sent an answer, asking how I could help. She replied by asking for my email, so she could send me a picture. At this point I reported the person to the main guy. The person had just joined and hadn't made any posts or comments, so I was pretty sure it was an attempt to solicit money from me. Again, I thank you all for your input.

If you don’t mind my continuing this “becc” but I’m also convinced that your generation has become detached and has lost sight of the dangers involved in social media and chat sights

it is not the major tool (and shouldn’t be the major tool) to healthy relationships when you are old enough to begin one

which shouldn’t be at 14 years of age
I actually am very very aware of social media danger and i don't plan on having a relationship until i'm 18 or done with university..... for now it's just crushes and more major crushes

It would depend on how well I knew this woman. I would not send my email address to a complete stranger that's for sure. Now if a woman that I knew a little bit, showed an interest in me and sent me a picture of herself so I could see what she looked like, then yes, I would give her me email address and would probably give her my street address and phone number too. This question is not hypothetical for me as I met my wife on this site shortly after I joined. There are those that say that this is not a dating site but yet we are happily married and will be celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary on Nov 27. The answer to your question is YES.
Wow, this is a dating site lol kidding... but congratulations! That’s such a wonderful story and I’m very happy for you both <3

Someone pm me and asked if I wanted to chat and have a bible studies chat.
I said sure.
They responded, can we chat via Hangouts?
I said why, what’s wrong with chatting here?
Then he replied and asked for my email because he wanted a picture.
I was like, bro I have a picture in my profile. Lol.
He was like, it’s not clear enough for me and still wanted my email addy.
I replied (knowing that this was dodgy as) we will chat here.
I had to look him up and this man had a pic of him and a lady (possibly his wife) and a child (possibly his son).

Sorry, but I ain’t like that.

Lol. I was playing an online game when a guy sent me a message and wanted to know if I have a snap chat account. I said no I’m not on Snapchat and then I said “and you look suspiciously like a man in my community who I know is married”.

After that he.....“disappeared”.

Okay “becc”. Still....be careful and don’t talk to strangers. And if you do, don’t provide any personal information

Love this inter-action - and yes Mel, we got the very same 'scammer' but in just a slightly
different way - they were asking us for 'scriptural confirmation', +, and when we gave it to them
they 'shut us down' - isn't Jesus The Most Wonderful, Beautiful, Being in our lives???
:)

it was never a temptation, but just a confirmation of what this world is coming to...
