What a drama series, I have never seen anything so powerful, it gets into your mind and soul. Very addictive and makes us think about power, money and the cost to the soul of being mind-blowingly wealthy.
I feel changed and shaken by this drama.

Never heard of it. Then again, I don't watch any modern shows. I've tried to keep up with Star Trek: Discovery, but it's hard to make time for it.

Well it's brilliant. Quite unlike anything I've ever seen, draws you in and mesmerises.

Lots of bad language, but incredible writing, acting. Brian Cox is sensational as the evil head of a powerful media empire, making his children fight to be his successor.
I have learned so much about what it means to be in a very dysfunctional family. This one takes your breath away. It shows how great wealth corrupts the soul.

My husband and I are on season 3 and absolutely riveted!

Hmm... Doesn't sound like the sort of thing I'd want to watch. I used to watch Dallas back in the 80s, but that was largely for Victoria Principal

Me too! Loved Dallas. Succession is an updated, million times stronger version - hard hitting, brutally frank.
It makes me glad I am fairly poor! Great wealth corrupts souls and all values and morals can be lost.

Same happens with being broke, ironically.

I much prefrred Yellowstone. It was in a way similar, but taken from the environment of Wall Street amid media conglomerates, and placed on a large Montana cattle ranch. The plot revolves around the Dutton Ranch's family and the bordering Broken Rock Indian Reservation, Yellowstone National Park, and developers. I did watch Succession because my daughter liked it so much, but I could not care for the characters at all, as they were all so sick and twisted, plus some of the plot lines were hard to follow. Normally I do like Brian Cox and Matthew Macfadyen... I think everyone liked the grand nephew Greg best. Haha. Matthew was wonderful in the 2005 Pride and Prejudice movie, and coincidentally, Kelly Reilly was in that movie and also played a fairly major role in Yellowstone.

I have noted Yellowstone - sounds good.

By the way, Succession is based on Rupert Murdoch and family I think.
Vast wealth.
