Arguing is the fun. No debate, no fun. You have to take it for what it is worth. Likes and rep. is the cherry on top, no more no less; they feed the ego...lol Oh I forgot we are all "Christians" here, no ego.... lol
you were followed here unless you invited more hostility?
never mind, I know you didn't
came across something I thought pretty much sums it up
here:
Arminian Charge: Calvinists are overly defensive about Calvinism.
Myth or Reality: True, and a person defends that which they wish to protect, and Calvinists are protecting something, namely a theology which declares them to be special, chosen and elect, and here an Arminian comes along and is basically telling them that they are just like everyone else, and that Jesus loves and died for everyone else, just as much as He loves and died for them too.
I'm really not Armenian, but certainly closer to that the the other
Yeah I go to church but I think of it more of a refresher of spirit and fellowship not as a requirement that one has to go every Sunday nor do I believe in the silly remark of "go to church or go to hell",Church wasn't always used to spread God's word or do right for God,many times has it had an opposite result because of egos and petty fixations.
This thread makes me want to be even more Calvinistic.
Maybe I'll drop a few random Calvin quotes all over the place. How's about some mongersism in the singles forum? Push me and I'll do it? Lol.

Ellsworth, sorry about the rather warm welcome you got. Once you learn which ranters you should put on "Ignore" I swear the rest of us are pretty cool.
And to answer the question this thread was supposed to be about - we have church Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night. And in my church you don't want to miss a service because you never know what you'll miss. Every time I have to miss a service, three people make sure to tell me what I missed. "Gee thanks, like I wasn't already wishing I could have been there."
My Mum was Lutheran, my Dad was raised Catholic, they were pretty non-denominational when they got married, I somehow ended up Presbyterian. Go figure.
we so appreciate your precious and understanding 'heart', it is very 'precious',
and you are so very dear to us, for so rare is an 'heart' such as the one that
Jesus Christ has given to you...

It's not uncommon for persons from denominations with differing doctrine to choose a third denomination when they get married. My dad was raised Episcopalian and my mother Methodist. Both of them had doctrinal issues with the churches they were raised in so my sister and I ended up raised in a Bapticostal church.
I assemble with the church at the building every Wednesday evening, Sunday Morning for bible study and worship, and every Sunday Evening for bible study and worship. I hate to miss the assembling of the church.
