Way back at the time of Noah God gave permission to eat meat. God said in Gen. 9, vs 3 "Every living creature will be food for you; as I gave the green plants, I have given you everything."

My husband and i have been talking about getting one of those for about a year and a half, Shour. It will happen sometime this year!!!!

Make it happen, Cap'n!!!
Seriously. We can share our experience, and maybe improve upon the technique. (I think the one in that vid looks slightly underdone. Or his bacon was of a lesser quality. I like my bacon to be the colour of brick when it is done.

Oh, you're absolutely right. Anything of this world so tasty and tempting has to be illegal, immoral, and-or fattening!
Reasons that Shour is a gym rat:
1. Paul says our body is a temple. The house of God should have a custodian.
2. Men with my last name tend to get obese, have heart attacks, and die.
3. So I can eat as much bacon and eggs as I want.
4. So I can eat as much bacon and eggs as I want.

He did! So long as you don't subscribe to the Catholic definition of meat, that is. After His resurrection, Peter and John go fishing in the morning, with no luck. Christ calls to them from the shore, and tells them to cast to the right side of the boat. His disciples immediately fill their nets, and they instantly know it's Him. When they get the boat to shore, Christ has kindled a fire and is cooking bread and fish over it. Off the top of my head, I'd say it's the second to last chapter of John.

There is a place online you can order them, Shour. That is what we were planning to do.

Forget about what some tampered-with manuscript says, and try to picture yourself Jesus slicing some cow's throat and then jointing it for His and His followers' meal. For some reason, I find it difficult to. The Bible never records Jesus as having eaten any meat, something that many forget.

Ignore some 'tampered with manuscript'? So i can then take it you can speak and read ancient Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek and are an expert on those ancient cultures, so that you have original readings and strong understanding of those cultures to understand their viewpoints? If not drop the 'tampered with manuscripts' because whatever you're reading could have the same thing said of it.

The Bible never mentions that Christ sneezed. No sneezing.

The Bible never mentions that Christ drank iced tea. That's right out.

I've read the gospels multiple times and I know for a fact that they say that Christ NEVER WORE BLUE JEANS. So many people have never noticed that in the scripture!

Christ didn't drive a car. We can only ride donkeys. As Christians, the only acceptable mode of transport is to find a donkey, tell it's owner that the Master has need of it, and ride that.

Now go read Romans 14 and stop using twisted logic.

We're dealing with an entirely different beast here. To feed on dead carcasses involves taking away the lives that once inhabited them, something I cannot envision the pacifist Jesus doing. WWJD applies here fantastically. Would Jesus maul an innocent hog just to satisfy his taste buds? Doubt it.

Besides, be wary of the writings of Paul, the self-proclaimed apostle. His scribbles weren't always treated as inspired by exegetes, what with him having the dubious honor of being a fount of inspiration for many trouble makers in the early Christian church.

Well, then, it's pointless to use scripture with you since that which people used already to make their points are "uninspired" in your eyes. I would love to discuss this in person over a BLT on light rye and a nice lager

Why must people always fight? Is it to prove you know more about scripture? Is it so you can feel more 'Godly'? It seems the second someone says God an other person must prove the first person doesn't know anything about God... I understand some topics are controversial and some need discussion. But stop fighting over what color Jesus's socks were... And If you must argue, be Christlike about it and not Vindictive, Barbaric, and Cynical.

I haven't read much about the Bible but I do remember this.

1John 4:20
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

I went to a coffee shop tonight and saw this. I think I may try it next time I go. Maybe put it in some hot chocolate? I haven't decided.
