I'm recently new to finding Christ and have not yet been baptized. I'm just wondering when a good time is?

Baptism is a true picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. When a person is baptized, he is openly identifying himself with Christ, acknowledging that he has both died and is raised again. He has died to self, to sin, and to false religion, and he has been resurrected spiritually by the power of the Holy Spirit.. When you understand these things and have made these choices, being baptized makes your commitment more real to you and is a public testimony of your choice.

This is not a matter of waiting - it is for when you feel you have decided to die to self and sin, and made a choice to live with the power of the Holy Spirit in newness of life with Christ.

May I say that "finding Christ" and dedicating ones life to Christ MAY be different...........don't know your story. Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour? If so, was it in a church? Not necessary, but it helps to know the circumstances of your "come to Jesus" moment.........anyway, a new believer should be water baptized as soon as possible after their conversion.......this baptism serves as a witness to the Church and to the world that they have accepted Jesus and become a disciple of Jesus.......It is also done in obedience to His commandment for believers to be water baptized.

If you do not have a Pastor who can baptize you, then you can find a mature Christian, such as an Elder, and they can baptize you..........do it as soon as possible............for it is the first act of obedience that new believers should perform.
