God allows yes gives permission to Satan to tempt us and to put
us through trials and tribulations

Overcoming is what makes us stronger and wiser and more faithful

Eventually we have the confidence to say "get thee behind me Satan
in the name of Jesus my Lord and my God."

Amen and amen again. Even as I go through, I still say, " God is good". I keep telling myself and others who are willing to listen that we as Christians are not fighting for the victory but rather fighting from a place of victory. The word of God says, " But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:57). We're in Christ, so victory is automatically ours.

Some Vikings believed in new lands to the west of Scandinavia
and they rowed into the unknown in smallish wooden boats.
They braved fierce storms and huge waves.
Doubts would have overcome the crews and probably many called out
to their captain to turn around and to go home.
But stalwart Viking captains kept the faith and eventually they reached
Scotland, England, Ireland, Iceland and Greenland; even Nova Scotia.

And so it is with us. We hope for a new world that is in our hearts
and in our imaginations: we know of it but as yet we cannot see it.
It is a promise to us as faithful sojourners in this present world.
For our destiny is not in this world with its temporary treasures that
will perish, but we seek a new home in a world that is yet to be
realised.
But like those brave Viking captains of old we journey on braving the
storms and the waves and unchartered waters.
We can either retreat and go back or we stay on target and pursue the
hope of landfall in a new world.

Jesus never promised that the journey would be without trials and temptations
but that he would be with us in the boat as we make this journey.

I'm sorry for being snappy with you in my response back to you. I do not think you understand or have the slightest idea about spiritual warfare/demonic oppression. I'm trying to get you to understand that a child of God can be focused on God and the enemy can still attack. Many of our brothers and sisters can testify to this because they know what it's like to be targeted from drawing closer to God. The devil doesn't show up randomly. Take Job for example (read his story) He was just and righteous before God. Did he sin? nope. Satan was already targeting him way before he approached God. Satan told God
you have a hedge/protection around him. I cannot do anything to him." Wow! As I said before, Satan is not scared nor intimidated by lukewarm Christians. If you are strong in the Lord, then it will not take him long to come knocking at your door.
And another thing many people say, "oh satan isn't attacking a person etc. " Sometimes, it's not him. Sometimes it's other spirits that have rebelled against him. Let me remind you, 1/3 of the angels rebelled. So, of course satan can not be doing everything. And, those evil spirits have a name. Their tactics maybe different but the endgame is the same. And, by Being focused on God it will cause you to have a target on your back. . Even when a person becomes saved, the powers of darkness are enraged. Therefore, if you assumed the post was all about me then you missed the point I was trying to convey. It's was never about me and never will be. It's about GOD and him being glorified. God bless you :)
Yeah, what could I possibly know about it? After all, my rebirthday is April 4, 1972. My birthday is April 18th, 1956. And the first thing God put me through was my mother making me promise, yet again, to raise my little brother as a good Catholic, (I am his godmother), right before she died July 22, 1972. Oh, and that was the easy stuff compared to what has happened since.

I was just telling you something I've had to learn over and over again ever since. But, honestly? At this point in time, I'm sure the 20-something year olds to 30-something year olds have been indoctrinated into thinking it's their job to teach everyone all the wonders of what they know, because obviously, once you hit 40 you forget everything.

Got you loud and clear.

Actually, you can learn a lot about it. There are several books on spiritual warfare. God said that his people perish for a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6) . That's a downfall for a lot of Christians and that's how the enemy wins a lot of battles against them. He wants to keep them in the dark and wants them to continue to be ignorant. Why? because the more a person is ignorant, the more he can move freely in their life.
