Recently I spilled taco sauce on my fav. dress pants. In a series of bad to worse, I then soaked the pants in stain remover, washed them, dried them and set the stain even deeper. (You couldn't see the stain until you dried the pants, so don't judge me for drying them. : P)
FINALLY I tried this remedy I found online, and it worked. So if you are in a tough spot, try this:

You will need: WD40, Baking Soda, Toothbrush, Dawn dishwashing detergent
1.) Spray the stain with the WD40
2.) Scrub the spot with Baking Soda and a toothbrush. I scrubbed the baking soda into the fabric at least 3 times.
(According to the woman who wrote the article, it soaks up the oil?)
3.) Scrub in the Dawn. I really only scrubbed the Dawn in once.
4.) Wash
This works like you wouldn't believe. If you think you have ruined something, you have nothing to lose by trying, except 5 minutes. Seriously try this it's awesome.
p.s. The rumor is if you use generic instead of the name brands it doesn't work, but I really don't know.
