Give them a Bible and if they read and hear the truth God has blessed them and you have gained a brother or sister in Christ. If they don't read it at least you gave them the word...............that's always good.

Okay then I guess I can't offer good book recommendations.
Au contraire! The two books simply offer distinctly opposing views on what is central to Christianity. (Yes, I own both books.)

Just giving someone a book, even the Bible, is shirking our responsibility. Remember what the eunuch riding in the chariot said when Philip asked him if he understood "The Bible" (the Scriptures) he was reading. "How can I, lest some man guide me?" (explain things to me).

Even Jesus told people that despite the fact that they read and knew the Scriptures, they missed things that He then commenced to explain more clearly to them.

God instituted "Teachers" for a reason. They were not just "readers of written words." Research (Google) the word "Targum" that the Rabbis of Jesus' day expounded.

Thanks, brother. I'll have to put it on my to-read list.
Fair warning: It is long, and some people have told me it is too Theological for them... though, I don't see that, at all. I think it is pretty straight-forward and rational.

Hi. Sometimes just dropping by the pcbs before, i'd skim thru some books when there was time and found a few for some people already. I dislike the larger shops, no i mean also liked going there but often theres too much fiction instead. Of course the titles suggested would make choosing for you easier.
