Jaffa?!

I'm guessing that is Civil War related?
More like the relation between the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. But of course, Jaffa has been writing his fair share of the war between the states in some of his works.

Love Project Gutenberg.

Not a fan of Dickens, but only because I have not read any of his works. I guess this could be a start. Count me in. Are you going to create a new thread? If it's not too much to ask, maybe you can mass mail us a PM reminder as well?
A Christmas Carol is the perfect way to start with Dickens, I hope you will like him. His sensitivity is sometimes seen as sentimentality, I guess it is in a way. But NOBODY had better characters than Dickens. They're memorable. I'll make a new thread and send the interested parties a pm before Thursday.

I'm already called a heretic for following a well-established, theologically orthodox denomination of Christianity. Nothing new!

Even if it means you can be labeled a heretic for following said pastor? xD

Well cool! Good for you, that's a tough road to hoe. Jaffa usually boasts some pretty solid bit of scholarship.

I've read only "Walking From East to West" (somehow I thought I've read more than that, I was probably day dreaming). Have you listened to his sermons too?
Of course! He's one of my go-to's. I have not read Walking From East to West, however Jesus among other gods, the grand weaver and his historical conversations series are solid reads I can vouch for.

Also Light in the Shadow of the Jihad is an unsung classic of his.

As for the other topics-

1. Chruchill- just open his History of the English Speaking Peoples and roll through.

2. Only aspects of it are top secret.

I thought it was a cigarette. Could be a cigarillo. You may be right, there.

The sunglasses are my favorite touch. So glad I found this.

He indeed is interesting. I'm going to compare his "Storm Over the Constitution" to Irving Brants "Storm Over the Constitution". Read Brants version years ago and will be flipping through it for the sake of the analysis.

I mean, maybe if you unscrew the caps and drink them to get a fix like some of the cool kids do.

If you "smoke" them, there are fewer potential toxins. It's water laced with nicotine.

Aren't those more dangerous than the real thing?

But who in their right mind would drink them? Tourist is right in thinking something is unstable, but I think it's more than the battery if people are drinking it to get a fix :p

Also "A Tale of Two Cities" is a book by Dickens to consider:).

Teens have been getting into that. Don't ask me why. I've also never thought of sniffing markers or huffing keyboard cleaner.

Are you sure that you heard teens are drinking them or just smoking them? I know they vape, but hadn't heard of them drinking the things. Huffing was the rage in the 90s, not so popular now.
