If it will help you, then go for it, CM.

Although, l'm confused as to how jamming needles into someones face or above their eyeball sockets can "help with headaches "?
Made me literally laugh out loud and sitting in a doctor's office having everyone glare at me. Lol

Well, that's a LITTLE unfair. There are YEARS between those photos, and it's clear that Janice has had LOTS of fill work done. Botox immobilizes the muscles. Not that I've had work done nor would I push for a person to have cosmetic surgery.

CMariah is talking about a medical procedure to aid in pain relief.

Yes, Ole, I know what she's talking about. :) I was using the pics to show marieh what can go wrong with botox. And yes, Janice here obviously had more done than just botox..

Also fun little fact is botox is botulism.
Not quite.

But do keep in mind, cmarieh, that in rare cases, botox can induce botulism or similar symptoms. It all comes from the same bacteria.

Ah yes, SK.

Maybe we should scare or confuse her?

That should help her with the headaches that she's having. :)

When I had a spasm in my left hip a few months ago, I would have glady injected kool-aid, botox, whatever it took, in my side to stop the pain.

I'm all for natural remedies and good nutrition for overall health, but I happily defer to modern medicine if other solutions aren't helping.

If a muscle is the cause of the headache, Botox paralyzes the muscle for a while.

They offered it to me once for my spasmodic dysphonia ...

It would last for about 3 months then another injection would be needed.

Botox mildly paralyzes muscles that spasm, for one. There are nerves and muscles in the forehead that somehow contribute to the pain of migraines. Botox blocks that from happening.

Well, thank you for all the feedback and I never really had a clue that Botox would actually work. I just don't like the thought of the injection. It is definitely worth considering if the other methods the doctor is checking into will not work although I continue to pray that God will completely take the migraines away.
