I think when it comes to people like Lewis, it's not always what he's done to the church, but what the church has done with him.

As a teenage christian, I didn't even know who he was. But about 15 or so years ago, you could find his writings in christian bookstores. Who elevated him to such a high status? The church did. Now they will swallow almost anything instead of reading their Bibles. The biggest sellers are chick romance stories with christianese undertones in them.
I don't know where you've been, but C.S. Lewis has been popular with the Christian world since the early 1940's.

Acts 22:20
And when the blood of your martyr Stephen was shed, I stood there giving my approval and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him.'

1 Timothy 1:13
Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.

So from the verses we can tell Paul was an antichrist .Or maybe that was his past?
Begining...middle..end..

Here is what I don't get about your posts KJV.

Paul oversaw the stoning of christians...Paul was converted by GOD on the road to Damascus. Paul wrote most of the New Testament ..

..Beginning...middle..end.

If I had all of Pauls letters and posted them before his conversion then everyone would think Paul was a very evil man and we would all hate him.

Beginning...middle...end..

You keep posting all these quotes from Lewis, which nobody is going to deny they are true, as long as they are accurate.
But do you judge a man based on something he said or did or wrote in his youth? If so then do you condemn every man woman and child who ever came to Christ?

What about David? Moses? They both killed at one point...do you label them murderers for life? God called David a man after his own heart, whose heart are you after?

You are so focused on what this man said at some point in his life...what about Paul? Paul finished well..even though his beginning was by definition anti christ.

What about you KJV? If we had the pages of your life to quote on CC would we all be appalled at what a sinner you are? When you cursed at the age of 20...leered at the age of 30...used the lords name in vain at some point? If we only displayed these things would you despise you?

From what I can find about Lewis is that he was indeed an atheist in his younger years and very much a man of God later on. God forgave him...

You should to.

Beginning....middle...end.

I don't think Lewis said that but all the same, it's a good, thought-provoking quote.
got it from C.S. Lewis quotes on one of my home pages, yes though is thought provoking

And how is he incorrect here? By equipping a man who has no values with an education, you simply make him more knowledgeable and more dangerous. Without values such knowledge can be misused and is like casting pearls before swine. For example... Adolf Hitler. What values he might have had were overshadowed by lunacy.
Was not Adolph taught very well and a very clever Devil that had the Us at his fingertips in the beginning fooled
Hmm Do not know what you do not see, but I tell you truth, the war still that rages on to this very day is Flesh nature of self is at war with God.
Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

So either we are controlled by our flesh nature self or we have by Faith asked God to co-crucify this evil flesh with Christ and be alive to God in the resurrected Christ
Is there any other way to the new life?

Just when I thought the King James Only Cult could get more ridiculous and stupid, it does. SO what about Ja

I guess the King James Only cult have run out of Bible Verses from Satans Bibles to quote from and have now found another source in C S Lewis with many quotes they can fabricate to be Satanic.

What of Jane Austin though?
ELLING - Author J.K. Rowling ( Of the demonic Harry Potter series ) has said that C.S LEWIS is one of her two favorite authors ( the other being Jane Austen ) it should come as no surprise to true chistians that C.S LEWIS was an unbelieving heretic.
I guess that is being guilty by association and we are all to burn Jane Austin books as well, as she obviously has Satanic influence over the alleged demoniacally possessed and crazed author writing books for satan to lead people to satan.

I now get the impression that the King James Only Cult will only be happy if every book in the world was burned and every copy electronically destroyed, leaving only the King James 1611 Bible

Its time this cult was stopped and not given the time of day.

Gotta stop ya for a second there. On the guilt by association thing I so happen to be a KJV-only person, I am not part of a cult, and I'm defending Lewis' writings here. As far as Bibles are concerned, the KJV is the best interpretation I know and the only one by which I judge other translations. But that doesn't mean I don't read anything else in the Book Department but the KJV Bible (I'll have you know I am an avid reader of a certain creation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's…). Please don't lump the rest of us KJV'ers into the same boat with this guy.

Does the reading of these books....lead people to question, discuss and debate? then surely this is helpful.
ALL good things come from Him.
When we think we know THE only way...when we judge, decide...it is dangerous. If we belive in God, in His power, in his omnipotence...then we need not fear. Because we know. We know that His truth will be known...in His way. In ways we think may not be possible. His time.
Lets not jump to judge....lets sift, dwell and think on what He would truly do.
Books do not damage.
Man damages.

Are you a genuine King James Only person? BY that I mean do you really think that the 1611 King James Bible is the Final inspired perfect Bible and all other copies after it and before it are wrong and are the works of Satan, such as the NIV?

If so, then you are a member of the Cult of King James Only, and you should really look more closely at what this cults leaders think and say, its really shocking and quite ridiculous.

If you do not agree, then you should stop calling yourslef King James Only, it will just give you a bad reputation. There is a huge difference between declaring King James bible as the perfect final bible, and simply just liking something as your all time favourite.

King James changed the book of Jacob to the book of James, so I will only quote from it if I know that the quote hasn't been changed. If a quote, by any man or woman, is backed up by the Word of GOD then it is meant to be repeated. C.S. Lewis is dead. Why judge a dead man? I like some of the things he has said and that's it. Why don't you start looking at the people who are still alive today that Christians are wrongly praising instead of those who could care less because they have already passed on?

it's funny, but check out Ruth 3 in the 1611 sometime. Major error there...
the KJV is far from perfect... but it is still the perfect message from God.

I think it's the best translation that I know of (more than just a favorite; it's genuinely the best I know of in English) and I believe that a great number of others have been badly manipulated, sugar-coated, added to and/or taken away from. I'm not an original, true 1611 version (in olde English lol) person, and I'm not going to say all other translations everywhere else are false or wrong, or Satanic because: A) I haven't read them all and B) you can't give a Mexican, Russian, Chinese, or Indian guy a KJV and expect them to read it and understand it. I sometimes DO read other versions, but only to compare; if it doesn't line up, it's a mark against that particular translation. My father is a huge fan of the Amplified Version… hardly anything else will he read where Bibles are concerned. We've both noticed a couple of glaringly obvious errors/contradictions in it, but other than that it seems ok and so I'll sometimes read it along with my KJV for analysis. But when it comes down to it, if there's a contradiction or difference of opinion between an NIV, an Amplified, etc., and a KJV, I'll take the KJV every single time. When I have devotion or look something up, it's KJV. That's what I mean when I say KJV only.

So why not seek the below:
[h=3]Matthew 10:16-20[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]16 [/SUP]Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. [SUP]17 [/SUP]But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; [SUP]18 [/SUP]and ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. [SUP]19 [/SUP]But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. [SUP]20 [/SUP]For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

Maybe you should use a different phrase to convey your choice of Bible, you do not want to be associated with the Cult of King James Only. Its same as when people call themselves atheist when they are simply agnostic!

You should try the One New Man translation. It is the best. The KJV is the second best, I'll admit, but the ONM is the absolute closest!

ANOTHER C.S. LEWIS QUOTE

Pure, spiritual, intellectual love shot from their faces like barbed lightning. It was so unlikethe love we experience that its expression could easily be mistaken forferocity.

And they could not view Moses's face without a veil over him. hmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I pray for you to see the Love that God has for you, only received in the born again Spirit, no flesh can perform this type of love

[h=3]1 Corinthians 13:4-13[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]4 [/SUP]Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, [SUP]5 [/SUP]doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; [SUP]6 [/SUP]rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; [SUP]7 [/SUP]beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. [SUP]9 [/SUP]For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. [SUP]10 [/SUP]But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. [SUP]12 [/SUP]For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

All in love to you, friend for we all are:
1 John 2:12
I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

Maybe it is time to respond to God in thankfulness?

Twill, you should check out the King James Code. This was written by Brother Mike Hoggard several years ago. But definitely check it out. It is very neat. It shows the Numerical Codes and Patterns that can be found in the Authorized King James Bible. Testifying that it is the absolute perfect and inerrant word of God. I'll share some of the Numerical patterns first in this post, and then I'll give you the link so you can check out the rest of these Numerical Bible codes.

The Number Three

The number 3 is the number of divine completion and resurrection. Three is the number for the Godhead. It should be mentioned that the term "trinity" is not a Bible term. The only term used to describe the persons of God is the word "Godhead." I John 5:7 declares to us that there are 3 persons in this Godhead, (unless you have an NIV). So it comes as no surprise that the word itself, "Godhead" is found only 3 times in the Scriptures.
(Acts 17:29) "Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device."
(Rom 1:20) "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:"
(Col 2:9) "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."
Since the number 3 is the number for resurrection, it would stand to reason that it would be associated with being born again. It is. The phrase that Jesus himself used to describe salvation, "born again" is found exactly 3 times in the AV, and each time it is in reference to the number 3 either in chapter or verse.
(John 3:3) "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
(John 3:7) "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
(1 Pet 1:23) "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."
Along with this same theme of resurrection lets look at a verse in the Bible that talks about resurrection.
(Rom 1:4) "And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:"

In this passage, Paul clearly points out that the power of Christ and of salvation was not manifested on the cross, but manifested by His resurrection from the dead. We serve a living Savior, and all who are followers of Him, and have been born again also receive this resurrection from the dead. We were once dead in our sins, but now we are made alive in Christ Jesus. This phrase "resurrection from the dead", is found exactly 3 times, all of them in the New Testament. Here are the other two occurrences.
(Luke 20:35) "But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:"
(Acts 4:2) "Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead."

A few years ago, Dallas Holm sang a song that became one of the best loved songs in modern Christianity. The title of his song was "Rise Again". He took this title directly from the scriptures. It was a song about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This phrase is to be found 9(3x3) times in the New Testament.

The Number Four

The number 4 is the number for the world, creation, and worldliness. This section will be devoted to this theme, and the pattern associated with this theme.
In the very first verse of the Bible, we find that God spells out exactly what His creation consists of.
(Gen 1:1) "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
These two words, "heaven" and "earth" are found together in the same verse a total of 156 times. This breaks down to 4x39. When we search for the exact four word phrase that is used in Genesis 1:1, we find that it is found exactly 4 times in the Authorized Version.
(Gen 1:1) "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
(2 Sam 18:9) "And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away."
(Jer 32:17) "Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:"
(Jer 51:48) "Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the north, saith the LORD."
It is also one of the great doctrines of the faith, that one of these days, God will create a New Heaven and a New Earth. In fact it is mentioned 4 times in the scriptures that this will occur.
(Isa 65:17) "For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind."
(Isa 66:22) "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain."
(2 Pet 3:13) "Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness."
(Rev 21:1) "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea."
In the first section of this book, we noted that Genesis 4 displayed the theme of the world and worldliness. It should also be noted that the word "ground", pertaining to the earth itself, is found 4 times in Genesis 4. It is also interesting to note that the one person who symbolized the lineage of worldliness, Cain, is found 16 (4x4) times in Genesis 4.

The Number Five

The number 5 is, without a doubt, the number for grace and redemption. It is the number that is associated with the future translation of the Church. All of these themes can be discovered in the Authorized Version of the Bible.
First we find, that the 5[SUP]th[/SUP] time Noah’s name is mentioned, it is mentioned with Grace.
(Gen 6:8) "But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD."
It might also be mentioned that Noah was 500 years old, when he begat the lineage that was to repopulate the earth after the flood. The first time Noah’s name is mentioned is in Genesis chapter 5. The Bible tells us that the flood waters prevailed on the earth for exactly 150days. This breaks down to 5 months. You may have noticed that in the King James Bible, Noah’s name is spelled differently in the Gospels, but not in Hebrews, or the two epistles of Peter. In the Gospels it is spelled "Noe." Did you ever wonder why? Maybe it has something to do with the fact that his name spelled this way exactly 5 times. The last time Noah’s name is ever mentioned is in II Peter chapter 2 verse 5. The 40 day time period that it rained on the earth is found 5 times in the book of Genesis, the last time being found in chapter 50.
Now, let’s look at a phrase in the Bible that is associated with grace.
(Acts 20:24) "But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God."

Through this and other verses, we understand that true grace is God’s grace. It is his unmerited favor to all who will receive it. This phrase "grace of God" is found in two forms; "grace of God" and "grace of our God". Together, they are found in 25 (5x5) verses, exclusively in the New Testament.
Our Savior is associated with the number 5. In Isaiah, he is given 5 titles. (Isa 9:6) "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." He arrived on this earth at the beginning of the 5[SUP]th[/SUP] millenium from Adam. As the number for Antichrist is 666, the number for Christ is 555. Why? The word "Christ" is found exactly 555 times in the Bible! The first occurrence is Matthew 1:1, the first verse of the New Testament, and in Revelation 22:21, the last verse of the New Testament, literally, he is the first and the last. His title as the "only begotten son" is found exactly 5 times in the Bible.

The number Eight

The number 8 is the number for new life and new beginnings. In Genesis 8, Noah and the animals are allowed to depart from the Ark and restore the earth. Noah and his family consisted of 8 people that repopulated the human race. Noah’s name is found exactly 48 (8x6) times in the Old Testament. His name in both forms (Noe and Noah) is found exactly 8 times in the New Testament. When you combine them together you end up with a total of 56. Here we find that the name of Noah is the product of Completion (7) and New Beginnings (8). What an amazingly perfect Book!
Twice in the New Testament, Noah is associated with the number 8.
(1 Pet 3:20) "Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water."
(2 Pet 2:5) "And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;"
After the 7[SUP]th[/SUP] millenium, in which Christ reigns on the earth for 1,000 years, everything is formed anew and this is when the New Heaven and New Earth show up. This, too, is God’s pattern, and He will not depart from it. Those who say that Christ will not literally reign for 1,000years at the end of the 6[SUP]th[/SUP] millenium either do not recognize this pattern, or completely ignore it altogether. This is a shame.
The number 8 is the product of 2 and 4. When you multiply the number for division with the number for the creation, you realize that there will be 2 creations, the old and the new. This is the essential idea behind being born again. The number 8 is also the sum of 5 and 3. When you add the number for redemption, with the number for resurrection, you still have new life, no matter how you look at it.
In the 8[SUP]th[/SUP] book of the Bible, the book of Ruth, you have this pattern displayed and preserved. The whole theme of Ruth is the redemption and restoration of Naomi, (Jewish Church), based upon this verse, (Ruth 4:15) "And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath borne him." (that’s because 8 is better than 7)
The word "alive" is found 88 times in the scriptures. Its usage, as well, indicates the new life found in Christ through his resurrection.
(Mat 27:63) "Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again."
(Luke 15:24) "For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry."
(Luke 24:23) "And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive."
(Acts 9:41) "And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive."
(Rom 6:11) "Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord."
(Rev 2:8) "And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;"
The word "forth", quite a common word for the Bible, is found 888 times in the scriptures. One of its more famous uses comes in this form.
(John 11:43-44) "And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. {44} And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go."
In Hosea 6:2 (6+2=8), we find a prophecy concerning the restoration of Israel in the last days.
(Hosea 6:2) "After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight."
Encoded in this passage is a time prophecy of "the third day". As Christ was given new life on the third day, so will the nation of Israel, prophetically speaking. Christ is going to revive those dry bones and give them life all over again very soon. The word "revive" is found exactly 8 times in the Bible.

The Number Nine

The number 9 is the number for fruits or fruitbearing. It has already been mentioned that the command to come out of the ark and be fruitful is found in Genesis chapter 9. There were 7 clean animals of every kind and 2 unclean animals of every kind, showing us that the number9 is to be associated with the animals in the Ark. In Genesis 1:22 God gives the very first fruitful command ….. (Gen 1:22) "And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth." Yes, you guessed it. The phrase "be fruitful" is found exactly 9 times in the scriptures!
We are admonished in the Scriptures, as Christians, to bear fruit. When we look in the scriptures, we find this principal exactly 9 times.
(2 Ki 19:30) "And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall yet again take root downward, and bear fruit upward."
(Isa 37:31) "And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:"
(Ezek 17:8) "It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine."
(Ezek 17:23) "In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell."
(Luke 13:9) "And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down."
(Luke 8:8) "And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."
(John 15:4) "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me."
(John 15:8) "Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples."
(Rev 22:2) "In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."
In Leviticus 25, God gives His instruction concerning the year of Jubilee. Here is what the Scriptures say.
(Lev 25:19-22) "And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety. {20} And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase: {21} Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years. {22} And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store."
In this is displayed the numerical patterns. They were commanded to work on the 6[SUP]th[/SUP] year, rest on the 7[SUP]th[/SUP] year, start anew on the 8[SUP]th[/SUP] year, and reap the fruits on the 9[SUP]th[/SUP] year. Here again, we see that our God is a God of order, and that order does not change.
It is no surprise that in the 9[SUP]th[/SUP] book of the New Testament, the book of Galatians, we find the 9 fruits of the Spirit.
(Gal 5:22-23) "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, {23} Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."
Would it be possible then that the fruit of the Spirit be associated somewhere else with the number 9? Lets take a look and see.
(Eph 5:9) "(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)"
Since God’s Word is a book of order, it is no surprise that we find this in verse 9. Remember, God wrote the book, not man, and He alone is responsible for its patterns.
There is another type of fruit that the Bible mentions. It is the fruit of sin. Here is what the Psalmist said happens to those whose hearts are full of sin.
(Psa 9:17) "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God."
Hell is literally the reward and the fruit of those who remain in their sin. God even established a pattern for hell. The word hell is found exactly 54 times in the scriptures. This is the number for the wickedness of man (6) times the number for fruit (9).

The Number Twelve

Although I am very aware of the importance the number 12 plays in the scriptures, I do not have as yet very much to report as far as the codes are concerned. Remember, all of this information that you see before you, has been the process of revelation, and not education. The Lord would tap me on the shoulder and tell me what to look for.
I do, however, have a few, very important codes to share that involve the number 12. God established the pattern of 12 in the Old Testament, when He gave Father Israel 12 sons. It was through them and their respective tribes that the whole Nation of Israel was formed. In the New Testament, God re-established this pattern by appointing 12 Apostles. It is on their foundation (Eph. 2:20, Rev. 21:14), Christ being the Chief Cornerstone, that the Gentile Church is built. As the 12 tribes were intended to be 1 nation, we are expected to be 1 body. No divisions, no schisms, just 1 body. The codes spell that out very clearly. In Acts, we are told this about the beginning of the Church age.
(Acts 1:14) "These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren."
It did not surprise me one bit to find that this phrase "one accord" is found exactly 12 times in the New Testament. It is only found once in the Old Testament, and carries the same theme. I will reserve comment on this subject. Go to your King James Bible, study the use of this phrase, and let God do the talking!
The number 12 is understood clearly from the scriptures to be a number that is associated with the Church, both of the Old Testament, and of the New. Those who are in the New Testament Church are those whom God has quickened, or brought back to life and given a new beginning in His Kingdom. This gives them the association both with the number 12 and with the number 8. They are called the "saints". They are called saints exactly 96 (12x8) times in the scriptures.
