What are the most common first names in your church or workplace circles? People used to say your first name is your 'christian name' but I wonder if that is still true. I don't call anyone madam, sir or mr or mrs, (unless they dont tell me otherwise) it seemed once I became an adult, everyone was on first name basis, even if it was my boss!

What about you, do you prefer to be called by your first name or your 'title'.

I have found the most common feminine name is Heather, (I know about five) perhaps as all originally are Scottish. The most common masculine name is John or David.

I once attended a church where most every lady I knew names started with J. June, Jo, Joanne, Jane, Jean, Joan, Jan, Janet, Jennifer...
So the Js in the church directory were bigger than any other section.

I agree the J’s trump. My name starts with a J and is biblical heheheh.
I remember reading the top 3 masculine names (biblical or non biblical) were Jacob, John, then James. Pretty cool 😎
The number 1 for feminine was Mary.

Different people call me by my name variations. My younger brother calls me Mr Pryce. My brothers friend calls me Joshy. One of my favourite pastor just calls me Pryce, etc. It depends on who i talk to. I dont mind being called anything, at least what is profitable.
