The "rapture" ISN'T the "second coming", so THOSE verses are completely irrelevent. The "elect" spoken of in the verse you quoted are "jews", also referred to as God's "elect", and who will be left behind at the rapture, but a portion of whom will come to the true messiah during the tribulation, making THAT point moot as well.
If you wanna hang around and get your head lopped off, be my guest. But as for me and the dwindling number of "Bible believing Christians" left in the world, WE'RE OUTTA THIS DARK, SATANIC WORLD!

You are the one who needs to study scripture. There is no rapture before the tribulation. Show me the verse that says the Lord returns before the tribulation. All timing of the Lord's return is given after the Tribulation. PERIOD. You cannot find one verse that says the Lord returns twice, or that when He returns that He does a U-Turn and goes back to Heaven. Those are the facts and they are irrefutable.
As for the 144,000. They are 12,000 from each tribe. Just where do you think the 10 northern tribes are my friend? Have you studied history? Do you not know that when they left Babylon they went over the Caucuses Mountains and settled in Europe and eventually North America some 2,500 years ago? They could be anywhere and could be any one of us.
You obviously have no understanding of Biblical symbolism or any clue how to read scripture. Are you aware that harlotry is often associated with Idolatry, especially in Revelation? Just who do you think Mystery Babylon, the Mother of all Harlots is? Is she a cheap New Orleans Cat House Madam or does she represent something else, the Roman Catholic Church perhaps? Did you think Jesus was warning against being pregnant in Mat 24 or was He telling us not to be worshiping the false Christ and not to be doing the work of the false Christ? If you don't understand this you are going to be blind as a bat. Sorry to be so blunt but that's the truth.
If you understood biblical symbolism you would understand that the 144,000 were not left behind. They are NOT some snotty nose kids who didn't make the cut. They are "spiritually virgin" which means they never worshiped False Gods, idols or false doctrines. They are firstfruits. Do you have any idea what this means? By being called Firstfruits, this means they are the FIRST REDEEMED from the earth. There can be NONE before them. They are the cream of the crop of all Christians. If there was a Rapture, they would be the first taken, not left behind. The fact that the 144K are still on earth during the tribulation alone totally disproves the Pre-Trib Rapture nonsense.
If you think the real Christ returns first, you have been deceived already. Christ clearly warns us not to go out for any earlier Christ and to wait for him. The False Messiah comes first and it is this rapture nonsense that He will use to deceive many Christians into coming out to worship him. Don't let your ego and false belief system cause you to be one of them.

Every christmas leading up to this christmas could have been the last too. And I could get hit by a bus tomorrow. Or a meteorite could hit me thorough my roof. Or I could be struck by lightning. Or an escaped baboon from the zoo could maul my face. I'm not sure there is a point in dwelling on possible doom. People have been doomsaying since long before I was born. It's getting really hard to take any of it seriously anymore. The world was supposed to end one year ago, and it didn't. I just try to be the best person I can be with what I have and what I know how to do. I think that is all God really asks of us. I don't remember anything in the Bible saying we must dwell on doom. The Bible mentions dramatic things will happen one day, but the Bible also says to trust in the Lord and not to worry.
