Isn’t it strange how the pains and sorrows so often act as healing for others, it touches the core of our being, something that we can all in our own degrees relate to. Pain is a great communicator. It also shows us that we are not alone in these dark places of our lives. It reminds me of
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
And with His stripes we are healed and here we find peace in the midst of storms. Blessed Jesus.
1Jn 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

I thank you for sharing your story with me, it will help me some when I talk to my son. I also had a very unhappy childhood however me sharing about how my uncles used me as a party toy or for their own foolish lusts, I doubt this can help anyone, muchless me.
i will keep you in my prayers, even strong CHristians need prayer, I walked away from god when my last husband died and now that Bobby tried to kill himself I am on the fast track back.

I have decided to stay with this place for now. I just got home from the hospital.. I had tried to take a nap but felt i needed to spend more time with him, he is distant..staring out the hospital window as i read his favorite book "Mrs. Frizby & the rats of Nihm" to him..

I love him no matter the path we go it will be Gods path this time

BoomersMom, I talked to Boomer about making a faith book for himself. I made one for CC for people here. A few have adopted my idea and made their own faithbooks. :) It is pretty much just inspirational pictures, sayings, prayers, poems--anything that inspires or gives hope. I think it would help Boomer if he made one for himself--it would give him something positive to focus on. The link to it is on my profile page, under the Visitor Messages tab. Click the link that says "CC Faithbook" next to it. Maybe you could help him compile one of his own, and/ or print out the pictures and tape them up in his room. Please tell Boomer that we are all thinking of him and praying for him. :)

Hi Blueladybug,
just wanted to thank you so much for opening your heart, and sharing your trials and victories
in depression and illness! It was a great encouragement! I'm about in the middle of your story
with depression and illness. Just recently, well over the course of a year, I became so ill out of
no where and lost my Business, my home, my health, my marriage, my church and my
90 Sunday School children that I worked with for 10 years! I had no choice as I was mostly
bed ridden, had to go live with my parents in a different state!

Being so ill and with a completely broken and crushed heart, I fell into very deep depression
and suicide intentions ! But like Job, I'm still trusting God and serving him in the middle of
my trials! I'm trying to get my eye's off of myself and am trying to encourage others around me!
Thank you again for your encouraging story of how your Faith brought you threw!

May the Lord Bless you as we continue to run our race with patience! Derek

Derek, thank you so much for reading my threads.. I'm so glad it's given you encouragement. It's hard right now, I have a pinched nerve in my back and it's affecting my left leg when I sit, squat or bend. Right now it aches like the dickens. For me, the ache is worse than any actual pain, and I'm bawling right now from the pain.. But I have my faith, and my humor, and I know there's a reason why God won't heal me. I'll be okay.. :)

i have this experience too ironically: there was this game in an intenet at fb philippines or where ever; i open my page and went to my games and played tasks that said- the taskmaster will give me a gift if ever i finish this ladybug tasks. so i played it as far as i can finish and won me a ladybug bench and a ladybug table. when i saw your thread, i took a peek and saw your testimonies or stories. i saw your name and just remembered that game.. hmm. sometimes you don't need to be unhealthy to realize that your going into deep depression, it's always everywhere from the beginning of time until the end of time in this world until such. as a believer, and God the Father in heaven through Jesus Christ our Redeemer and Savior is making me a healthy one. and i believe through what i said will make you one also.. there is much more to go through after being unhealthy, so i will pray to God that we will win this Battle together..
