Corinthians is saying that strife is of the carnal mind, that which is not renewed in Jesus. We didn't make up the phrase your in the stupid mode, or carnal ways, right in 1 Corinthians. Isn't it pleasant that someone has good thoughts about us.
Get Real, everyone could find and do find, something to pick on like a vulture, but it's the eagles that don't pick. Even ;your mother could find some faults. What a friend we have in the Lord Jesus Christ. REally Real. Even when were ugly he will and does not change his thoughts, if we pick up where we left off in our faith, and walk with him, he is able to forgive us, unto repentance, and brings us healing. Now that is A AWESOME LOVING GOD!

Faith, is trusting God. This says it all. Though he slay me still will I trust him.
This is faith. It is not doubting that God is able to deliver us from the arm of the wicked.
For it says, "without faith it is impossible to please God. " bible.

YOu go money on you, or you got something else that you think is going to protect you.
If God want's his way, then nothing is going to stop him.
The story about the bus driver, who had a pocket bible in his shirt, caught a few bullets, and they went into the bible not in him. The word is a shield and buckler, and I believe if we believe in it so much even the papers, and the book covers, with the name of Jesus manifest's into power. NOt saying put a pocket bible in your shirt, for it says "thy word have I hid in my heart. So some trust in chariots, and some in other stuff, but the one who trusts in the Lord, the Lord is his shield, defender, and a mighty fortress.

Commentary
Matthew Henry Commentary
13:13-22 Job resolved to cleave to the testimony his own conscience gave of his uprightness. He depended upon God for justification and salvation, the two great things we hope for through Christ. Temporal salvation he little expected, but of his eternal salvation he was very confident; that God would not only be his Saviour to make him happy, but his salvation, in the sight and enjoyment of whom he should be happy. He knew himself not to be a hypocrite, and concluded that he should not be rejected. We should be well pleased with God as a Friend, even when he seems against us as an enemy. We must believe that all shall work for good to us, even when all seems to make against us. We must cleave to God, yea, though we cannot for the present find comfort in him. In a dying hour, we must derive from him living comforts; and this is to trust in him, though he slay us.

Job says this;

Though he slays me, still will I trust him.
If you read, what happened, and what happens, it is exactly
what God wants. Faith in him, trusting him, and forgiving, and until
Job prayed, for those who were condemning him, he wasnt' healed]
until he prayed and forgave.
It's interesting, how, he argues his case before God.
This is something what we should all do.
God called Adam in the garden Adam, where are you?
But he went into hiding, and said, I was afraid.
Fear leads to a unknown ill of a state of confused thinking, paranoia,
and not peace of mind.
When Elijah was hunted down by Jezebel, he was afraid, and said to
God, that he was going to die, anyway, afraid of Jezebel, and let him take him now.
But God told him, no, to go back, and face her, and Jezebel ended .
Job had grips about things, and he talked with God, in prayers.
Jacob wrestled with an angel sent from God, and he wouldn't let the angel go, until he blessed him.
He want's to hear from us, prayer is our connection.
If there are things take them to him, talk it out, tell him everything.
He listens, he is a God, and our God, and our Father God, Galatians 4:6
Tell him.
There's a saying,
you don't talk to metal,
You could out think it, so
it won't answer back.
To some maybe it will, well then you crossed over to the dark side.

Job presented his case before God.
"GOD is a JUDGE"
We should all present our problems, and petitions to him.
HE is a righteous God, and a REal Judge.
The bible says, this.

If someone says, he believes then he also should act in that manner,
Actions, speak louder than words.
What a man thinketh in his heart, that is what he really is. bv.

2 Corinthians 10:4
The weapons with which we fight are not human weapons, but are mighty for God in overthrowing strong fortresses.

No one would know better than a soldier the psychological aims, and the stragedies of warfare. Droping leaflets, etc. anything to cause fear, disturbance, anxiety, and all ills, to hold up the peace of the human soul, the need to rest, from the harassment of the enemy, the desire to conquer, and complete the mission, the task we started.
All the scripture encourage us, that God is for us, and who can be against us. Speaking spiritually in the strongholds, and avenues the spirit is in at times of the arena of evil.

It is however, as the word says;, Not by might, not by power but by my spirit says, the Lord.

What the Lord God says, it will come to pass, and be accomplished, " his word does not come back void to him." He God doesn't shoot the breeze, but when God speaks, he commands, orders, executes Judgment, and conquers, destroyes, and creates.

When as humans weve done all, then lay our selves at his feet, and learn his ways, he wants to give peace to us, lets draw close to our heavenly Father God. AMen. Amen.

I've listened to many sermons.
THis is something I received after church today.
Many light the fires.
The most holiest fire is God's love to our heart.
***********
THe Lord Christ Jesus, did not have any prefix, or something before
after his name.
It was only Jesus of Nazareth.
Jesus the Son of God.
The Rose of Sharon,
The Lily of the Valley.
Other names that say what he stands for,
Redeemer, deliverer, Emanuel, many beautiful names,
but nothing to say a church title.
The bible says, the church of Cornith, Appolos,
But here is the Fire.
Matthew 8:8 9,10

{When Jesus heard this he was amazed, Turning to those who were following him and said, "I tell you this truth, I haven't seen faith like this in all Israel."
This story of the centurion soldier, who just wanted Jesus to say the word, of healing to his house.

Matthew 14:30
When Peter saw the wind, he was afraid, he began
to sink, Lord save me, Jesus said, Oh you of little faith.

************
Here are two stories.
ONe where Christ was right in front of Peter in the flesh, Peter saw him he heard Jesus, he heard the howling winds, the roaring sea, but Jesus Christ says to him, Oh you of little faith.

The Other Centurion Soldier said to the Lord, just give the word, I am a man of Authority, and I say to my soldiers go there, and they obey.
Christ the Lord said, to him,
I've not yet seen such faith, in all of Israel.
Much faith, Great faith.
The soldier didn't need Jesus to go in the flesh to his house.
This is faith,
Jesus didn't have to appear there in the body, he believed that just his word would be enough and manifest itself in a miracle.
The other had Jesus standing right in front of him, and though he was walking, standing on the waters, he appeared to all, as a man, in his flesh, for Peter said, Lord let me walk over to you.
Though many times Jesus Christ was able to just be in the spirit also.
Peter saw him but yet was afraid, he was told , oh ye of little faith.
This is where denominations don't fit in our faith.
The same Christ, the same Lord Jesus,
and yet many levels of different faith.
Just as many could be in the same church title, there may be many levels, of faith,
some little, some great.
Along faith, is Love,
I believe the more love of God in us, the more it will build our faith.
WE get to know him, through Jesus, in prayers, and reading the word, meditation.
"Without faith it is impossible to please God." Hebrews 11:6
God's fire of Love burns away the fear.
Perfect love casts out fear. 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love.

In my house stress and anger is boiling more and more there seems to not ever be a day anymore in which everyone is angry and stressed and yelling and attacking each other and it's easy to get caught in that fire and then have yourself become the same way. I have found that the only way I can be at peace in heart is to draw near to him and that means going into my room listening to Christian music and discussing and studying the things of God.

I often times have to go to that quite place alone with him to have the peace and love in my heart because if your around all of that stuff no matter how strong you are it will eventually begin to affect you
I can identify. Thankfully, for me, it has passed. Prayerfully you will or have moved on. I'm a latecomer to this thread but I needed a spiritual tune up. Anxiety has crept in. NOt sure why. God bless dear friends. -student

student,

may our Heavenly Father help you 'find the source' for your dismay
and reveal to you just what it is that is causing you so much distress...
He always will, if we are able to be honest with ourselves and go where
we are often afraid to go...
when we find and use the courage that He gives us, if we truly
Love and Serve Him, then we will certainly be able, strong enough to 'over-come',
and put these obstacles behind us,,,it's all about our Faith, and using it to the fullest extent
that is required by Him - this is how we grow-in-Christ...

When the wine ran out, Mary the mother of Jesus, said, there is no more wine.
John 2:3

Listen, it's not the end when their is nothing left.
There is someone named Jesus.
When all is said and done, the best is REserved for the best from the rest.
Forget the past, the word that says,
No man puts new wine in old skins, because as the wine matures, it will
burst the used skin.

As the year is coming to an end.
Make something new for the upcoming
NEw Year, that will be something

best from the rest.
Don't carry the past in a bottle
trying to break it over some ones head.
Write something good, and cast it into
the sea, and when someone get's that
bottle floating, and pops the
cork open, they might just read words
of hope from someone.
