lookwhatthelordhasdone, first of all I love your nick! Secondly, We need to be more thankful. Yes, in this country, even the poor are rich, compared to most of the world. And even though your thread doesn't mention it, we should be so thankful for all we have that we should all be finding way to help someone more in need than we are. Even if it's just a little help. If we won't do it during this season, then our hearts are cold and we need to learn a serious lesson in thankfulness!

You know, I've been in a funk for the past few weeks, just kind of up and down. When I read this though, it really put it into perspective and humbled me. Like, "You're worried about your paycheck and there are people out there who have no money at all."
Although God teaches us in his word, I'm glad things like this are made to keep us in check.

When we are down in the dumps and life seems like it's been unfair we need to just lean upon The Lord and share his ultimate blessing which is his blood shed for us.

I have no money at all.

(I am sorry. I lied. I have a single penny.)

And, "barely having anything to eat" for the last month or two has no-doubt helped me to have "a better attitude of thankfulness" for every little 'morsel' of food I get to eat.

Right now, a "peanut-butter sandwich" would be considered somewhat of a "feast"...

But, I digress.

Yes - it is very important that we not loose sight of what we have - and be thankful for it - even in view of what we do not have...

:)

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS. I've been in a bad mood today because I hardley have any money until I get paid on Thursday. But my children and me still have food to eat and I will have enough gas in my car to last until I get paid. THANK YOU GOD!!!!! I feel ashamed for having been in such a horrible mood over nothing, there are people in this world that are starving and here I was upset over nothing. Thanks for this reminder that I have everything I need and I should be more thankful!
