My hobbies mix, match, and slam into each other for a weird effect.

The hobbies are gardening, my stuffed animals, and writing. They slam into each other, because I don't collect stuffed animals. I adopt them and then they take on their own personalities to the point that they have their own blog, think they made the garden, (I merely assist), and I'm writing a novel based on them.

So, here is my first and much loved teddy bear, Spaulding, showing off the garden. A couple of things to note first that will make you laugh. That's my voice but at a higher pitch. (Yes, I'm a woman. Why do you ask? lol) That's also a few humorous examples of what it's like to live with aphasia, which is this weird glitch in my brain that makes me know what I mean to say, or write, but what I'm thinking isn't always the words communicated. You'll get why that's funny with bright flashing warning signs in "Spaulding's" presentation of the garden. Oh, an try not to laugh too much when you see my fingers or shadow here in there. After all, Spaulding merely considers me the camera person, and pretty lousy at that. lol

(Now I hope this "insert video" thingy works right, since this is my first video on this site, and I'm not known for my brilliance with doing stuff like this.)

Golfing, Big Game Hunting, Gardening, Hiking and Camping.

I like motorcycles too but I don't have one right now. I'm looking at some Touring models that I might get in 2 years or so.

I'm playing softball in the church league. I suppose that would count as a hobby.

I'm planning on brewing beer again, which I really enjoy every aspect of. I realize this is probably not a mainstream christian hobby but I like it. I don't take it to church or generally offer it to anyone except those with the same interest. My favorite is Porters and Stouts, but I use lager yeast instead of ale yeast... I know lots of people have alcohol problems so I don't want to stumble anyone or hurt their feelings.

I haven't brewed in about 4-5 yrs so my first couple of batches will be part of the learning curve/remembering curve.

Big game hunting? Is that geese instead of squirrels and bunnies? (Sure, the men in my family went after deer, but the biggest thing they ever brought home was a Canada goose or a 25-30 pound snapping turtle. So, I kind of think that's big game compared to the usual squirrels and rabbits. lol)

Geese are big for a bird but they aren't considered big game.

I hunt deer and elk in Montana. I haven't gotten an elk yet but I saw tons of them last year. Just no legal bulls on public land...:(

Ah, my family also hunted mostly in the Mid-Atlantic states, so deer only get the size of a bull mastiff. (Judging from the ones I've seen, not the ones they ever bagged. lol)

Does elk taste like deer? (I am assuming, even if you haven't bagged one yet, a friend has offered you a portion.)

Yes. A friend gave us a couple elk steaks.

They tasted so much like beef that if he didn't tell me in advance I would have thought it was beef and not elk.

Delicious. And they know they are delicious. So they hide. And they are really good at hiding. They have a reputation for being the ghosts of the forest.

Ha ha, I like the purpley gold stuff that's called the gold purpley stuff!

I recently bought some some lavender for the garden and was torn between getting the White
or purple version. In the end I got a purple variety it smells amazing.

Like, boots n pants n boots n pants n boots n pants.

Or like gardening?
Ever hear kids on the street make weird noises with their mouths, like the rhythm of a drum along with an occasional raspberry(or Bronx Cheer)? If I'm mot mistaken, that's beats.

The white smells just as amazing...except it just doesn't feel right because lavender is supposed to be... well lavender. lol That was the last year for that lavender and we had it for ten years. Unusually cold winter killed it off. And then we bought some again last year. An unusually cold winter killed it off. We just bought more. I can't live without watching bee wars in the garden, and that's one of their favorite plants to battle over. I'm also hoping we're done with unusually cold winters for another decade. I much prefer unusually warm winters. lol (I'm nervous because I think we're do for another unusually snowy winter before we get our unusually warm ones again. lol)
