We have this really bizarre tradition in the UK of celebrating bonfire night with a fire, fireworks, toffee apples, ginger bread, parkin, jacket potatoes and various other goodies. This is on the 5th November.

Mostly it is a chance to let off lots of fireworks and have your own little bonfire in your garden, or go to one of the large organised firework displays.

Basically to celebrate that Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the houses of parliment in the 1600s but failed!

I wondered when fireworks might be used in your country and if you have any strange traditions.
