I am not a Marxist, just as Karl Marx was not a Christian.

But his epithet 'From each according to their ability, to each according their need' strikes me as entirely compatible with my faith. Is it compatible with yours?

Best wishes all, 2RM.

Yes it seems to be a very Christian basis, and we know the adversary twists the created order, thus we have the worldwide failure of godless communism.

""From each according to their ability, to each according their need' strikes me as entirely compatible with my faith. ""
This one saying reveals why communism always fails.. The only people who could come close to living this would be Christians who are charity minded and willing to keep giving for the rest of their lives..

But communism is a atheist movement and vast majority of men only work harder motivated by increased material reward.. If you are working hard and the guy next to you is being lazy and not contributing and at the end of the day you both receive the same wage then within a short period of time the hard working man will also become like the lazy man because of the sense of injustice and the feeling of being exploited by the lazy man.. Pretty soon no one is motivated to work hard and everyone is dragging their feet doing the minimum.. So sooner or later the whole society collapses and everyone is as poor as dirt.. Demoralization sets in and the alternatives on the other side of the fence start to look better and better and better..
