Hi I wondered if anyone had any great games to share for groups of people.
Here are a couple we have used in the church and they are so funny. They can be done with children, but they are even funnier when done with a group of adults.
PING / PONG
Everyone sits in a circle and the lead person has a couple of teaspoons and a couple of forks.
The lead person holds out a teaspoon to the person on their right and says "This is a PING", the person replies "what, a PING", then the first person says "Yes a PING" then passes the teaspoon to the person on their right. Who then continues the process with the next person and so on and the teaspoon which is now called a PING makes it way around the circle.
While all that is going on the lead person holds out a fork to the person on their left and says "this is a PONG" the person replies "what, a PONG"and the lead person says "Yes a pong" before passing on the fork, which then makes its way around the circle in the oppositre direction.
The lead person then starts another teaspoon PING and another fork a PONG going around in the different directions etc.
The fun really starts when the teaspoons and forks start to cross in the middle, as people get totally
confused and dont know whether they are PINGING or POINGING. Trust me it is really really funny with
random Pings and Poings being shouted out all over the place. Great game lots of crossed arms, funny looks and funny moments. Try it with the Pastor that is so funny believe me!
HEY HARRY
For this game you need a few very bright lip sticks and some face wipes.
Everyone sits in a circle and you tell everyone that they are now called Harry.
You turn to the person next to you and say "Hey Harry"
who reples "What Harry"
and you say "Tell Harry"
They then repeat the process with the person next to them and so it continues around the circle.
If anyone hesitates or gets the words wrong, they get a large spot on their face (hence the lipstick) and their name changes to ONE SPOT. So then the words change to
"Hey Harry"
"What Harry"
"Tell One SPOT"
"Hey One Spot"
"What Harry"
"Tell Harry etc
As more people make mistakes (and believe me they will) they get another spot and become Two Spot or Three Spot etc.
Eventuallly you end up with
Hey Harry
What 5 spot
tell 4 spot etc.
The winner is the person with the least spots at the end of the game.
Also really funny especially as it is usually the men who end up covered in the most lipstick! Even more funnier when this ends up being the pastor or youth leader.
