I just gave a unit of blood today. I have been giving blood since 1971 and 5 times a year I go down to the Red Cross and donate. I have several big veins which make it easy for me.
Any one else here do this?

No. I'm horrified of getting my blood drawn.

I have almost donated a couple of times, but yeah, the needle makes me a little nervous. Plus I try to pass out at my own blood when it's more than what I'd see with a little cut. When I had to get blood drawn once they had to stick me repeatedly to get the vein. Then when the nurse finally managed I got pale and started to black out.

I'd like to do it one day.
But somehow-i just can't do it right now. I always get sick whn i see blood. And sometimes i pass out whn i see lots of blood.
