It is getting quite difficult for me to believe hardly anything that anyone says to me these days. So many people lie and don't do what they say that they are going to do . Just like God I hate lies. Its so unecessary and a waste of everybodys time. Is anybody else experiancing this increase of lies and liars?

I agree. But God doesn't hate anyone, he disprooves of this. I think, more or less, that the "World" has become a custom to lieing. I read somewhere that a person lies an average of 14 times a day. That's insane! I personally find it so much easier to tell the truth, and suffer the consequences. You shouldn't believe everything you hear, and you shouldn't get too upset from people lieing. Just do your best, and tell the truth! After all, it's you that has to answer to God for your actions, and not for everyone else's. :)

It's been coming on gradually for about 15 years. I have been saying for about the last ten that when our generation is dead, they will not be able to keep food on the grocery shelves. Literally, because no one can trust the inventory sheet, the order sheet, the shipping manifest, or the promise over the phone. And I've seen this happening for the past 3. When I was a kid, we used to believe that the handful of liars would eventually be put in jail because lying leads to fraud. Now, I'm almost afraid to buy anything in the store.

Liars will eventually burn themselves...I know this because I was one. I would lie to people before even realizing I was actually lying to them, it was like word vomit. I kept it up for numerous years until I finally got burnt so badly that I never wanted to lie again. And now I get a taste of my own medicine with people pretty frequently.

You need to guard yourself first and foremost. For some people if they talk, I automatically assume they're lying. It sounds horrible but that way I'm not disappointed when they do lie, and I'm relieved when they don't. They hardest thing to do is having to forgive them, which will need to be done almost daily.

I must be naive. I didn't notice an increase in lying. Seems the same amount it always has been. Maybe I just get better at spotting them as I get older.

I am decent at spotting liars. I just meant I'm not sure if lying has gotten worse. :p

I gotcha, I'll have to agree with you, because my opinion is the only one that matters.

Here's an interesting question, has it gotten worse, or has it just become more noticeable.

Divide the posts up pro and con by age. The dividing line seems to be around age 30-40 someplace. It's hard to know if something has gotten worse, unless you have a way to know what it was before. A phenomenon 15 years old would tend to divide at around age 32, since you have to be about 17 years old to start getting out into the world.

Zaoman, you are right, it might just be more noticeable. Can you make any suggestions as to why that might have changed? I doubt it is because internet has changed what we notice (although it certainly has); an easy way to check would be to ask any of the many older people who do not use internet.
