YES TRUE. HE IS ALSO A JUDGE. A LOVING MERCIFULL ONE. THE SCRIPTURE THAT SAYS, COME BODLY TO THE THRONE OF MERCY AND LOVE. SO MANY TIMES IN THE BIBLE, GOD HAS ALWAYS WEIGHED HIS RIGHTOUS JUDGEMENT IN A LOVING WAY TOWARDS THOSE WHO SEEK HIM. WHEN CAIN CRYED OUT, WHEN THE KING OF JEZEBEEL CRIED TO THE LORD AND HUMBLED HIMSELF, GOD SAID, HE SPARED HIS WRATH BECAUSE HE HUMBLED HIMSELF, KING HEZAKIAH WAS TOLD BY ISAIAH THAT HE WAS GOING TO DIE, AND HEZAKIAH PRAYED AND WEPT AND TALKED TO GOD, AND GOD TOLD ISAIAH TO TELL HIM HE WOULD NOT DIE, AND GRANTED HIM LIVE MORE. HE IS GOOD AND LOVING, JUST AS JESUS WAS HE HAD COMPASSION ON THOSE WHO REACHED OUT TO HIM, AND EVEN TO THOSE WHO DID NOT KNOW HIM. WE THINK GOD AS A TYRANT CRUEL TASK MASTER, AS FATHER. FOR MANY IT IS HARD TO UNDERSTAND GOD AS GOOD OR LOVING TOWARDS US, BECAUSE OF THE CRUEL SOMETIMES FATHER FIQURE MANY HAVE HAD. GOD IS GOOD AND COMPASSIONATE, SLOW TO ANGER. MANY MORE THINGS ALSO. THE GREATEST ONE GOD IS LOVE.

The truth is that we are redeemed! Hallelujah! We have been chosen, and we are loved. We are seated in heavenly places -- God knew us before we were ever born, and he delights in us!! I choose to stay in this place of peace KNOWING my heavenly father adores me - I have been made righteous by the blood of the lamb, and I receive it. Today is a glorious day, let us rejoice and be glad in it!!
while this is true, and to receive redemption a sinner needs to be aware of how vile they are and how much in need of a Saviour to save them from God's eternal anger and punishment for their sins..to sin against God is the most horrendous thing anyone can do...we need to turn to God in love through Jesus and turn from our sins, hate our sins and forsake our sins before we can claim the redemptive work of God on us and in us..God's redemptive work was accomplished through Jesus and ONLY through Jesus can we be called the redeemed

how about to know how much God loves me and desires to have a relationship with me?? That is far more attractive than being afraid of him. Actually, Isaiah 54:9-10 says 'he will never be angry again' When Jesus went to the cross, he became sacrifice and made covenant with God -- so i don't have to walk in fear. Jesus dying on the cross is the finished work; i do not live in fear of my loving, merciful , generous heavenly father. I do not fear dissapointing him, or having to beg him for mercy at every moment-- in fact, the very knowledge that God loves me so much, makes me want to honour him with everything that i am . Its a love relationship.
Anyway, i am not saying this to cause debate, my original post was declaring Gods goodness, and I still am. Thats it. God is good! bless you sister.
