if you arent on the flip side..

youre on the flop side

and thats a scary place to be rockrz
I'm on God's side right now... so the flip side would be the side opposite of God which is what ther devil is.

That's the place one does not wanna be at...

he just had enough of all the strife and nonsense that he found here and was like c ya
Well, he'd better lock himself up in his house and never go out in to the world again... it's a lot worse out there than it is on a talk forum.

One of the fruits of the Spirit is self control... some folk need to learn to use self control and not let stuff like this bother them and cast those thoughts down... like water off a duck's back!

Just cause a bad thought floats by... or you see it printed on a talk board.... doesn't mean one is obligated to think on it continually and get all sad and depressed.

I had to learn this as a young person... back in the day they would hurt my wee wittle feelings and I'd get sad and down.

Now, I don't give a fat rat's backside what people say. They can talk 'bout my momma n them if they wants to cause I don't care! God taught me how to cast my care upon the Lord because HE cares for me.

I feel bad for people thinking this place is devoid of negativity
I feel bad for the little snowflakes that think posting what God says in His Word is... negative

Part of walking with the Lord is receiving His correction which He does thru His Word

Have we met before?
Can't say that we have...

My goodness people here simply have very little sensitivity and compassion for anyone. No wonder many want to leave here.

yup I've thought about leaving a couple of times but rather just avoid such threads. I feel bad for people thinking this place is devoid of negativity
Interestingly enough no matter how severely I have been attacked and believe me I have been under very heavy fire I never once felt the need to leave this place. Instead of all the negativity and attacks scaring me away I instead took all that and learned from it, I saw what not to do as a believer and grew from my attackers. I have many teachers even the ones who are dead set on destroying me are unawaringly teaching me.

Of course I tend to see and take things in a different light than most people so for me it wasn't hard to not leave but I understand others who want to leave though I am always sad to see them leave even if I barely know them. But had I left way back then when I was under heavy attack and when all this anger and heated debates were out of control I never would have grown as strong in love and in Christ as I have.

After all I did ask God Lord how can i grow closer to you? He replied meet me in the storm and I asked also Lord how can I grow strong in you and replied walk through the fire with me. We all ask to grow stronger and grow closer with him but are we prepared go through the fire to do so?

Well honestly it doesn't surprise me that such a thread is created. most people come here for fellowship and to learn and grow in Christ but upon coming here and mainly seeing the fruit that we produce here many are very disturbed and some have thick skin and can push through it others make threads like this and leave.
Yes, it gets rough on the Bible Discussion Forum sometimes, yet I enjoy it immensely. It never pays to insult someone, even when they insult you. The object is to win the argument. It's hard to win an argument and insult someone at the same time.

Yes, but I've never seen the need to start a thread entitled "Good Riddance CC."
I think of starting such a thread nearly every day. Then I see Blain's posts and think it's not ALL bad :)

The best way to handle people like the ones you are talking about is to not lose your temper. I think that is what drives them batty.

When one punctuates their departure with a monologue,
regardless of its brevity, it's because drama queen.

Personally I think if our objective is to win the argument we are in the bible discussion forum for the wrong reason, The point of the bible discussion forum was originally to discuss the bible and the things of God but it turned more into a forum of heated debates. Granted even heated debates if done in the correct manner and with a humble learning heart can help a person grow immensely however if the reason for the person debating is to win the argument then the motive in their hearts is not correct and will not learn much

There have been times when I wanted make a thread saying when will you all grow up out of my frustration of everyone making the same mistakes in the bdf over and over again constantly bickering and accusing and attacking like little children always trying to prove themselves right and always finding some kind of fault in another no matter how many times I and others go in there to still the fires and remind everyone what and who we are called to be.

But moaning and complaining won't change anything and making a thread that speaks what so many have already said will not help anything either

Yes, but you are trying to prove a point and then someone insults you. What do you do? Do you insult them back or do you continue to try to prove your point? I don't think you can to both. I'd rather prove my point. If I insult them, then I am as bad as they are.
