I have a massive boil/zit on my face....and I believe that is God communicating with me. I won't go into it! LOL

But communication from the Lord almighty comes in many forms.

Yes, God actually spoke to me almost 2 years ago to the date and said my name and told me I was cured . I knew instinctively he meant from the pain associated with the disease. I am not sure whether he meant the disease. He also let me know intuitively how to get off the pain meds I was currently taken. It took almost 2 months but this fall will be 2 months of no pain pills.

He also gave me the filling of the spirit at the same time. It was the most beautiful feeling on this earth.

I realized several months later as I reflected on that day that a year prior it was also his voice that told me to go to church. I had not been to church in a very long time and I remember the day clearly. I was doing dishes and it was about a year after I got my report I was sick. As I was doing the dishes I heard this thought that said, "Go to church". It was so very authoritative that I dropped the dishtowel and went to the computer and looked for a church.

I told my husband who never attended church with me in our 32 years of marriage that I was going to attend church again even all by myself. I almost fell out of my chair when he said, "ok i will go with you."

Long story short, after hearing God's voice telling me I was cured, I knew that what I thought was my own thought wasn't, God told me to go to church and I know why now.

He wanted me not to just know him, he wanted me to know his son Jesus. To truly understand what Jesus did for me. A year later he blessed me.

And I might add, the first day we went to the church, I said to my husband how I felt this odd vib in the air, like heaven was singing. My husband who is not spiritual at all said, "yeah I felt something too".

What an incredible God we serve.

The times God has spoken to me has only had to do with everyday things of living, it wasn't profound things at all. It has made me feel that God is such a personal God, He wants our life here to be the best it can be.

Once was when I had three youngsters 3, 4 and 6. One had been so sick the hospital and doctor bills took our home, so the kids bedroom was one tiny room in a rented house. I was complaining to the Lord and heard "you will always have a home'. And I have.

Another time, it was 4 in the morning when a voice woke me to tell me to contact my friend in another town. We were away from home, staying in a motel, no phone in the room. I went to the office, called my friend, whose husband was called for emergency surgery and needed me desperately.

Love this Dan. I agree, God does have a sense of humor.
Can't you imagine what it was like walking with Him on those
dusty roads, and He was having a talk with His disciples, and
maybe even pulled a prank on them ? I think we must take
Him seriously, and by no means not revere Him, but I just feel
like you do... He is usually allowing us to see ourselves as He
does. Sometimes seriously, sometimes in humor.
Love your story ~ J ~

Hi RedTent ~ I imagine you have heard Him speak to you many times.
When we journal and run across something from the past, our memory gets
jogged, and we see it was Him keeping His word.
Just as you said, He gave you a home for your children. You are truly a
Proverb 31 woman of virtue. You have done well in your obedience to the Lord.

The times I did and remember a bit clearly were a few years back when I was sort of going through the phase with the fogginess of being depressed and while doing everyday things there was a little voice that sort of had a pause with everything else and said "I love you". The more so vivid one was when I had a dream that I was on an old fashion type of train and coming off of it I ended up on this hill, the sky was not too far of reach and had clouds going by yet it still seemed perfect, there were trees surrounded at the bottom of the hill and one little spot that was out in the open and it was really nice, a place that I felt to be at. A voice says that whatever I find great here, Heaven is a lot better. It ended from there and I woke up.
