There is apochophyra sp? For people interested in that sort of thing or Jewish oral tradition has Talmud, but it doesnt tell us anything more than what already can be deduced from scripture.

If you want to know more you will have to ask God, people living in that time and culture of course would know a lot more background and context, and also the original langauge for all the idioms that get missed when you read in another translation.

If you reading the Bible in Hebrew, I suspect you may have a richer experience, because even the names of the people would mean so much more to you.

I would say if you were teaching sunday school and a child asked this and you told them they were stupid for not understanding you...they wouldnt want to come back. Just saying.
I was under the impression that I was talking to an adult. And if you want to use the same false narrative then I would say your interpretation is correct.

The Bible is mission directed. The writers wasn't writing a novel but instead giving you the information needed to know who Jesus was, what Jesus did, and why he did it. Scripture even tells us that Jesus preformed many more miracles than recorded. But obviously they wasn't needed to get the message across.

Other sources including the Quran give accounts on Jesus as a child miraculously healing a bird or being a stubborn teenager. But a lot of false gospels was spread around soon after the originals and way before Islam. Most of the canon was early agreed on especially Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John was almost immediately agreed on as legitimate.

Sometimes people want "more" scriptures, because they can not accept the existing scriptures as they are, they can not accept the absurdity of faith, they can not accept that man is limited, and God is limitless, and that he is showing us as simple as possible, the truth..some people can't handle the simple truth that we will never know all things
True, but is also written in Proverbs, "How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity?". "I was brought low, and he helped me."

Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things, for to him that is joined to all the living there is hope. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge.

However, I wouldn't consider faith to be an absurdity, unless that faith is based upon believing without evidence.

I am speaking of Absurdity as a philosophical statement - There is much absurdity, in the world - which makes us remove self reliance, and embrace the life of faith

Just read the Bible and pray and the holy spirit will teach you all you need to know. God has answered a great deal of my questions but He does hide things to bring us closer to him to finding out. Some things may remain a mystery but to us it is actually given the mystery.

Mathew 3:11

the point is when you are teaching about God, God has hidden some things so that its not immediately obvious so that you WILL seek Him out. But that is childlike faith you need cos otherwise, He just wont tell you.

Not implying anything here. Just saying....

The good book tells us about his birth. And then it jumps to an incident when he is 12 years old. Then it jumps all the way into his adulthood when he is about 30. What happened between all that?

Again, I'm not saying this necessarily should raise alarms or cause suspicion. I just find it a curious matter.

Anyone else ever wonder about this? Or is it just me? Cause to be honest, I probably do tend to wonder about certain things most people likely don't even care about. :p
The bible is but not Gnostic materials.
