I am not under a doctor's care, I haven't been since high school. but that wouldn't matter there are very few, if any, doctors here that will " work something out."

Go to the state local Medicaid office and check with what they can do for you....and as far as pre-existing conditions the insurance companies were not suppose to turn you down according to the new Obama care business. At least that is what they claimed.

Oh yes, to keep in theme with this thread my personal medical advise is DON'T GET SICK!!!

While I do not have Obamacare, I do have Canadian universal health care. In Alberta I paid nothing for health care. In BC, we have to pay $65 a month, which seems like too much to me.

My RA drugs are covered by a provincial plan, which amount to over $2000 a month, not including asthma, hypothyroid, fibromyalgia drugs, etc, etc. To say nothing of my ambulance ride to the hospital last night.

I think the key is, don't get sick! The trouble is, sooner or later most of us get sick. I know I turned down the extended coverage when I became a teacher, because my husband and I and the kids were all so healthy. Well, the kids still are, but then, they are in their 20's and 30's. I wish I had it just for the dental, and all the crowns my husband and I have.

I wish Obamacare was as good as Canadian Health Care. But then, we have one tenth the population, and oh yes, our health care is not for profit. No $20 for a kleenex, which my son actually had on his bill one trip to the ER to get some stitches when he was playing pro hockey in the US.

Hopefully my $65 sunshine tax will all balance out the same. Really I am saving that much on water here. I guess it all balances out, in the end.

But do NOT get sick!

a lot of people die every day because of lack of medical care.

a lot of people die every day BECAUSE of a DOCTOR! (number one cause of death for a while, or close).

even when people get medical care "for free" or that they can 'afford', the results are a great increase in

illness in their family, and a lot higher cost for manmade drugs from the dunglords, than would be needed

for what God has provided and has been known for thousands of years, and proven (in the usa) to be

perfect and effective for over a hundred years (but illegal because natural and inexpensive and doesn't

cause the need for more dunglord drugs).....

i.e. the medical system of the world is corrupt, evil, wicked, deceitful, and liars.

sigh.... that doesn't help a lot , per se, but if

as others have you can find a good midwife - midwives have had a lot better success rate and extremely

lower costs than men doctors.

finally, like the men thrown into the furnace,
and the prophet thrown into the lions den,

they said "even if we should die, we will not deny our God" , so

likewise pray for the wisdom to live as God desires, to choose as He chooses, to live as He lives,

and to endure as needed, if needed, through all things without denying Him,

and (especially) if it comes to it, to refuse forever, don't even consider, getting the chip in the wrist or the

forehead 'because' then they will offer you all the medical care/help you need for NO COST (except of course you loose your soul forever with no chance for repentance).

Penalty tip..... Just went last week to have our taxes done. We did not have insurance again this year and penalty is 2% this year which would have been about $873.00 max for tourist and I together... But H&R Block had a form to see if we would qualify for not making enough to pay for the insurance during the year....Guess what we qualified and we didn't have to pay a penalty!!!! Our tax preparer said but the H&R form costs $40.00 I said please take our $40.00 as it seemed like a bargin to me compared to the penalty....

Well I am starting to get poor enough meaning 401k the end is in sight....So to try and hang on to what little I have left I quit going to my Doctor that I have been paying cash to for the last almost two years and have signed up with the free clinic in my area. Had my first Doctor appointment and today went for lab work to have blood drawn and tested. The clinic runs off of donations so far what was costing me about $300.00 every three months was done for $17.00.

I have worked since I was 13 years old starting as a babysitter, even was a candy stripe girl in a nursing home working for free, then moving on to work in the kitchen of same nursing home cleaning dishes, then moving on to a nurses aide job which I did for several years at a drug & alcohol hospital and then for a major Humana Hospital, sales in retail, worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co for a while, the City of Gulfport generating water bills for the city, and Raymond James for 25 years my last job that ended June 27, 2014.

Just to go broke and live off of Social Security in the next few years.... Yep I'm livin large....lol Still thanking God that my health is semi holding up.... there have been things going wrong but I try not to complain about it and eventually just die off into the sunset. Hoping that there will be a smile on my face and a happy heart all the way cause I got Jesus what more do you really need?

Pray and ask God to keep you healthy it is my plan for this year 2015....
That was hubby's plan in 2015 too.

It didn't work out though.

On the other hand, got to say, considering the man has had two heart surgeries, kidney failure, two huge infections, a stage four bedsore, and is now in rehab, so far? It's cost us $0.

Unfortunately, the mental cost trumps that big time. If that was put in dollar signs the entire country couldn't pay that off for decades. And that is the government taking care of him.

So... do I move all the cereal bowls up to the shelf with the mixing bowls, or should I just move them to a different location on the same shelf?

:D just kidding... I know what you meant...

This story should throw you for a loop.

My husband and I came to the south in August and he couldn't get me on any insurance through his job until November. September, I get pregnant. October, Hubby breaks his ankle a work and worker's compensation covers all that.

November rolls around and hubby starts dealing with paper work for insurance stuff through his work. His family (self proclaimed Christians) wanted us to sign up for the healthcare, which wouldn't have covered my pregnancy because it is considered a pre-existing condition, and lie through my teeth to a doctor saying I didn't know I was pregnant (apparently, you're not officially pregnant until a doc says you are). I didn't want to lie so we didn't do that.

Now, I am still considered a resident of my previous state I can't go there to have the baby due to lack of money and I can't file for state insurance in our new state. So what do we try? OBAMACARE. After my poor husband filled out all that paperwork online they tell us on the website that we are TOO POOR. And then they called us after almost 3 times a day for two weeks, until I told them that we didn't need their assistance.

I am still uninsured and, regardless of that fact, still going to have a baby in June. No hospital will take me without insurance and my second to last resort is the birth center I am supposed to meet with on the 17th and they can still turn me away. Our last resort is me having that baby at home with no help but my husband or going to the emergency room.

THANKS FOR NOTHING, PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA
Actually, Obamacare really did get rid of that pre-existing condition clause. And you being too poor means you ought to be able to go on Welfare, which won't help you money wise but will give you the best insurance around. AND, you don't get anything worked out, because you don't ask!

Did you know you can go out for dinner and when the check comes you can negotiate a better price? Restaurants give 10% off to anyone that asks, but no one asks so they don't do that. Same deal with motel rooms.

Same thing with healthcare. You don't get if you don't ask, and you refuse to ask.

And so says the woman who lived through living with hubby in our house on $839 a month with a $550 mortgage and hubby getting chemo at $3500 a month just for the drugs! WE ASKED! WE BEGGED! WE GOT! HUBBY LIVES! WE STILL HAVE OUR HOUSE!!!

and this is the key. in many cases, people will work with you if you HUMBLE yourself, as in the person who humbles themselves will be exalted, and ASK, TALK. works at lot of the time.
