Hi and thanks for the reply, will look at getting hold of a copy of Discovering Your Ministry Identity as the quotes were interesting to read.

One that I'm quite well aware of is discernment. How did I discover it? It just happens and it's always happened from very early on in my walk, I'm only really starting to learn what to do with it now.

I'm replying to this one again, just to say there have been differences/modifications to the 'set' of gifts as presented by Houts, for one, and Ford. Houts considers Miracles, Healing, Interpretation, Discerning of spirits, Celibacy, Missionary, Martyrdom gifts too. Ford has not included the italicized above in his list, and classifies Missionary as a calling and not a gift, defining it as a calling from God to exercise other spiritual gifts in a cross-cultural context for the purpose of bringing people to Christ and seeing churches multiply among them. The essential thing is learning/discovering to be who we already are in Christ. I should find time to write again!
