Matthew 11:28-30

New International Version

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

I use a flow chart.

START
What do you fear?
Can you do something about it?
YES - Do it.
NO - Move on to something else.
END

Your mileage may vary, but it works for me.

Of course it depends a lot on your fear. If you're captured by pygmies and they're about to boil you alive, my flow chart wouldn't help much.

"Surely this "fear thing" cannot be emotionally healthy.
Often, we must confront our disturbances and deal with them accordingly,
and one may find it helps to accept and let God's spirit be close by for support."

Knowing what it is that you fear would be helpful. But most people have an uneasiness about new things. But new things are just old things we haven't spent enough time with yet.
If you look back on your life, you will find a great number of things that initially brought with them some degree of apprehension but don't any longer. Perhaps this will happen as well now.

Hear the words of Jesus, the son of GOD who calms the seas and stills the winds. Let not your heart be troubled, for He offers you a peace unlike any worldly comfort. Do not fear the trials that may assail you, for He holds you in the palm of His hand, cherishing you more than countless sparrows.

Cast away the burdens of tomorrow, for each day bears its own concerns. Trust in the provision of the Father, who knows your every need before you even ask. Though uncertainties may loom, rest assured that He is with you always, even until the end of time.

Take courage, for He is the Light that pierces through the darkness. Believe in the power of your faith. Do not falter, but fix your gaze upon Him For In Him, you shall find refuge, strength, and everlasting peace.

May these words offer you solace and courage as you seek to overcome fear through faith in Christ.

Welcome to Christian Chat.

Precious friend, A Very Warm Welcome. I will pray for you.
Trust The Lord and His Word Of Truth:

and of love, and of a sound mind. " (2 Timothy 1:7 AV)
And, Please Be Very Richly Encouraged and Comforted In:

God's Grace Word for our infirmities!

Amen.
