NOT PANCAKES! :p

...Does anyone know anything about this? My friend is trying to get me to go, but I'm not too enthused. He tried to get me to go last year too. Thing is, I'm not a charismatic Christian. I'm a very traditional Evangelical. I have heard mixed reviews about this gathering, some say it is cultish and others say it is a great time of fellowship.

I'm pretty skeptical of Mike Bickle, especially after all I have read about him in regards to his theological views. What do you all think? If I'm going I am going to leave on Monday 26, December. Your advice is appreciated!

personally I would avoid it like the Burning man ceremonies or a Benny Hinn sermon

They're heavily charismatic. I would stay away if you can.

I have charismatic friends and the fact IHOP claim to be charismatic is not why I would recommend avoiding it.

the whole praying for the Spirit of Elijah instead of or in addition to the Holy Spirit is what I find concerning about Bickle's theology.

it make me wonder whose "spirit" is truly being glorified at such events.

listen to his sermons and then read the Bible and decide for yourself and do as God leads you.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I think I'll go with my instincts on this and pass on the trip. Even though I'd love to take a road trip to Kansas City. :D
