a friend of mine gave me an interesting view of God and how predestination might happen, well sort of ...

to express this view as short and sweet as possible

God is so powerful, free will becomes irrelevant
we may want to ask why God only predestinate some but not all

however,
whatever thoughts, disagreements with this view you may have, is always welcomed in the comment section down below.

God predestinates because God has foreknowledge of all our lives and how we will respond to His will.. He foreknew us from the start of creation maybe even before the start of creation.. And He has the names of all those who are going to be saved in his book of Life and our names have been in their since the foundation of the world..

Revelation 17: KJV

8 "The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is."

Revelation 3: KJV
5 "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels."

I think of predestination as foreknowledge, He knows who will accept Him and who will reject Him.

But He gives us free will to receive or reject.

I have no idea what this is called theologically, but I don’t believe God picks and chooses. It is His will that NONE should perish, but that ALL should come to faith through Jesud Christ, our Lord.

It is His will that NONE should perish, but that ALL should come to faith through Jesud Christ, our Lord <-- and people can choose whether to accept that will or regretably reject that will.

there are people who believe that ...

And there are some who believe everyone’s name is already written in the Book of Life and their names get crossed off when they reject Jesus.

So it is still not God being capricious and doing the choosing. I do not believe the God who loves all mankind has created some people and destined them to Hell.

God is good and God is love.

to quote an atheist, Man choose their own destiny, even if that destiny is not what God wants for them, ok, maybe not an atheist but you get my point

I think that many people may choose to accept during those few minutes before death comes. I’m confident Jesus comes to everyone in those last few minutes and gives everyone a chance.

God is very good and very kind. I heard this quote, I wish I knew who said it “If we knew how much God loves us, it would break our hearts.”

Jesus won’t force, but he comes to the door of the heart. “Behold, I come to the door and knock, and if any man should open, I will sup with him and he will sup with me.”

I am confident He comes to every door of every person who has ever lived. His love is so great, and His goodness is so good.

I hope so too, even if humans can be rotten to the core, like you've heard of extreme examples

infact, I want even Lucifer to be saved, in the sense that God doesn't even want a single nerve ending on any species to hurt.

You have not had many discussions with me. I am downright rude and obnoxious, very often. Just a warning, I’m not fishing for compliments.

I am sure God would save Satan, if Satan wanted to be saved. We don’t know all the future. Who knows what might happen after Satan is in Hell for a few thousand years? I don’t know, no one does.

God does, of course- but we don’t.

that "forever and ever" is merely to get many to take the gospel seriously, to help ease the process of salvation, in a sense
