it is full of fluff - "good morning" "what is your favorite color/song/verse" "word association" "complete the phrase..." and the like -what is that all about. Let's get a bit more serious. Maybe I am in the minority and maybe I am a grump, but I dont want to chat about these misc topics that go nowhere. I know some will want to say " go to the Bible section or the News section to talk about more serious stuff", but there has to be a middle ground. There has GOT to be more interesting things to talk about than the threads I have been seeing for a while now.

OK - I am done.

Post the type of threads you want to see. lol. I stay out of most of the ones I don't think are interesting.

exactly.

the truth is, when i first came here, all i wanted to post were threads that were rather deep. i've learned that even people who enjoy that kind of discussion don't want to post to those kinds of threads all the time. so for me, i've found a bit of a balance in appreciating the opportunity in both kinds of threads.

plus, you can be sneaky and post deceptively simple questions, which i rather enjoy...

make it what you want. just dive in! and pass on what you don't, as df said.

Yep. I agree, if you want to see it, post it, don't wait for others to post what you want.

Do you not think life is serious enough, a bit of frivilous nonsense can lighten our daily loads?

If ranting helps a person relieve building tensions to keep from exploding on an innocent person, then i think its a good thing, but if it doesn't help other people then it turns out to be,at best, selfish.
this is the miscellaneous forum and people, post and if people were not responding, then those threads would drift to the bottom.

....honestly, given that there are currently 4 threads that easily qualify as "more serious" threads..........and if one scrolls through the first 2 or 3 pages of this Forum, one can easily triple that number.

How many "more serious" threads are required?

In my opinion............the "Admin Description" of what this Forum is FOR............is why I post in the "not so serious" threads......and in my opinion.............this Forum has far more Christian Fellowship displayed than the other Forums I have visited here on CC.
