i was homeschooled for grades 3-6.
now i'm in graduate school, which is a lot of self-teaching.

this was 25 years ago - there weren't any 'curriculums' for home-schoolers back then. my parents used to go to book sales and libraries etc. finding old used textbooks to teach us from, and we got together with a few other families for field trips and just to learn from each other.

it was wonderful - and i've seen in myself and my bro & sis, and other people i met how it's been an advantage over kids who were only in public schools.

I have not been. But i am a supporter of it.
I know over the years i've seen a number of people who are, or were, homeschooled. Though currently i'm not aware of anyone actively homeschooled, but then again i don't spend a lot of time chatting with teens. haha. I'm sure there will be more. Perhaps try posting this in Teens as well, if you haven't already.

I was homeschooled, and like Posthuman said, back then there was very little in the way of curriculum. I used Saxon math and a variety of other stuff. I homeschooled my daughters through 8th grade, and we used many different things, but my favorites were Switched-On Schoolhouse (ABeka), History of the World, classical literature, and Sonlight.
