...that you are kinda ticked? That you feel you are doing are doing your best and still....

Please don;t say that I must not be doing what God wants me to do, that I am not listening to him - that is not the point of this question. The question is whether God wants to hear that we are not happy with Him. He knows I am kind of ticked with Him, so what is wrong with voicing it?

I don't mean this to sound condescending but I have never been angry with God. I don't always understand some of the things He allows to happen to me but I know it will be worked out for my good in the end. Like you, I sometimes feel that I am trying my very best and things still go wrong....sometimes really wrong. I think maybe that is His way of showing me to be patient and to wait on Him to work in His own time and His own way. I have learned more from the trials He has led me through than in times of ease and security. Many times I have asked Him why He has given me a test that I didn't think I could manage at the time....it's usually after the test is over that I can see His will for me in the outcome. No matter what the Lord brings upon me, I have faith it is what is best for me even if it brings pain, confusion, anger, joy....He has a plan for it all. All that being said, I think God wants us to tell him everything....without fear.

It might encourage you to read through the Psalms - there's a lot of "why are you doing this?" "what am I doing wrong?" and "how long are you going to wait?"

I don't know if it's the best response, but God has room for it and even chose to record it.

everyone will get ticked off at something or someone. But being ticked off with God, when he has done no wrong. I wouldn't understand why you would be ticked off with God. People get angry because they think God is doing this or that to them, when He isn't, its your sin, your lack of knowledge thats letting you down. so in a sense you angry at yourself, but since sin is the blinder of world. Who is the easiest to blame when things do go wrong? God! When things go wrong in people lives, thats when you need to ask God why? or what? and trust in him to put it right for you, but you must follow his trust, and his right decision.

I think ive been angry with God at times..actually yes, I remember now once I did. I was on the ground screaming at Him why He wont talk to me, why others and not me! I wont tell you His response but I think theres a difference in getting frustrated with God because of our lack of knowledge/understanding and turning to Him for answers and getting frustrated then bitter and hating God.
With those psalms posted above, I can imagine the psalmist speaking them in a certain level of frustration rather than the calm spoken word I hear in my head when I read it lol
P.s. im teaching myself here too but never be ashamed to go to God for any reason.

God wants to hear from you and wants you to submit EVERYTHING that you are to Him. This means if your angry with Him, He wants to hear it. He is God and He can take anything you throw at Him. God has demanded that we submit our entirety to Him, that includes the bad and the ugly.

I think people who say they've never been angry with God aren't being honest with themselves. We've all done it. The Bible is full of people doing it. God's fine with it, as long as it helps us to grow closer to him. I think the Church would be a whole lot more effective if people were allowed to be honest and real with each other and God.

I really can't remember ever being mad at God. There wouldn't be much point in not admitting to it at this point.

I haven't been mad at Him. I had a situation I fought hard and long to get an
answer from Him. It was regarding a temptation I was battling and no amount
of begging Him, praying on my face, reading scripture would help me withstand
the temptation. I fell away from my walk with Him as a devout Christian. Praise
His name, He brought be back into the fold. Like the lost sheep. But, I prayed
over and over asking Him "Why?" "Why did you allow me to fall." It took few
short years, He finally spoke to my spirit. He said, " I did make a way of escape
for you." "You chose to put yourself where the temptation was, when you could
have avoided it." I knew He was right, then I had to repent for my holding some.
resentment toward Him. It was not His fault. It was mine. Some battles are so
hard to fight. Satan knows our weakness. Always be on guard. Be sure to keep
asking God 'why' if you have to. >>>O P Eventually you will get your release. <<

I too have fallen away from my walk with the Lord. During those times I felt convicted but not angry. There have been times when I wondered where God was when I needed to hear from Him so desperately. I know now that He had been speaking to me all along....I just wasn't listening. It can be difficult to wait on the Lord sometimes as our flesh demands instant results so to say. Even in times of frustration, I can't say that I have been mad at God.

Sparkle Eyes, I've been mad at God before, you can tell God be he already knows. But talk to God. It doesn't make you a selfish person to get angry now and then. I think once you pray about it you'll feel better and probably have a better understanding of what God was doing in your life.

I believe the wayyou talk to God is what you should be most concerned with. He is still God and deserves to be entreated with respect, but if you are angry with Him, He already knows that, so you as might as well talk to Him about it, He's waiting for you to do so. Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: That entire chapter is really great.
