I know a woman who is a self-made expert in Christian conspiracy theories. In all honesty, this question is serious to her and to many who are in full time ordained ministry preaching about how the government (run by aliens, some of whom are reptilian) is about to take us over, and related subjects. As my wife (who communicated with this woman for almost a year, because she did not realize there are great Christian chat rooms like this, and was bored) observed, no more than two or three of these ideas could be true, since they all contradict each other, yet they are all based on Scripture. Maybe a better question is, how do people start believing such things in sufficient numbers to start such a sub-culture? Whatever the answer to this question is, does it in any way help us understand how there can be so many different reasonable doctrines in the many churches?

Oddly enough, the idea of reptilian aliens among us has a tiny bit of a basis in reality - not so much that there is an actual race of reptilian alien shapeshifters living among us, but that there is most certainly something else going on that doesn't have a widely accepted explanation for it.
There is a large amount of evidence pointing to a large scale attempt at deceiving the general populace into believing that there are aliens that have been among us for a very long time. Shows like "Ancient Aliens" have attempted to show that alien races have been recorded throughout history and have been simply forgotten in our modern history. There is a push towards accepting that aliens are basically a reality in modern times, and there is an abundance of evidence in the form of home videos and such posted all over the internet and television... but there are a large number of holes in the theory of "aliens" being among us for this large amount of time.

There are two, far more plausible theories that seem to fit the deception going on here far better than the idea of a reptilian (or any other alien) race living among us.
The first theory is that these aliens are manufactured to ease the transition into a single world government, that there is absolutely no reality to the alien threat and that all evidence of alien influence is completely manufactured towards this end.
The second theory seems to fit even better, and is the theory that I personally subscribe to, until such time as the evidence points in another direction. This theory is that these "aliens", with all the copious amounts of evidence to their existence (from people with absolutely nothing to gain from manufacturing a story), do in fact exist. But what we have been calling reptilians, or aliens, are not what we believe them to be. They are not alien, but rather, are demonic.
These "aliens" are manufactured in order to bring about an alternate explanation to the apparently supernatural happenings that have been going on in the world, making people believe that the demons we have been told exist are simply misunderstood extraterrestrial beings... that there is no evil force that exists here on earth and is trying to corrupt us. And as an added bonus, will still usher in the single world government that Reagan alluded to.
I would highly recommend watching this video. It explains this theory and why it is far more likely a demonic presence masquerading as an alien one, what it is that is going on, and how it is that these peices of information might fit together in a way that makes far more sense than the theory that a reptilian alien presence has taken over our government.

I was watching a show on History channel or Discovery sciene the other day that tried to use ancient carvings to prove aliens. If those guys had spent half as much time on combating problems on earth I am certain most peoples lives would be much better.

Let me do a short chronology of aliens. Flying saucers are not aliens. They troubled the Egyptian army for almost a week once. Pliny's Natural History (ancient Roman encyclopedia) lists 27 kinds, and says the Romans considered them natural phenomena. In the 1890's, farms were visited by flying machines manned by "human inventors from foreign countries". A silent movie I saw from 1912 had Americans visiting the moon and it was populated by what looked very much like ancient Greeks.
Our ideas today start with "War of the Worlds", the radio show that shocked America on Halloween by reporting we had been attacked and defeated by Martians, and Superman, who is an alien from Krypton. With the fiction in everyone's mind, the "foo fighters" and "gremlins" of WWI became Roswell. Our fear of the USSR back then became a fear of flying saucers, too. We remolded lights in the sky into threats or saviors with our comic books and movies. Project BlueBook concluded they seem to be of no military danger (and so far they seem to be right).
The real issue for Christians starts with the theory of evolution, and Erik vonDaniken. Because science refuses to believe the Bible, we cannot allow for the theory that archeological evidence could have been created by the nephalim, gebarim, etc. vonDaniken admits in "Gold of the Gods" that his theory was spawned by hatred of the churches for how they treated him. Nonetheless, his theory is, that since there were no nepahlim, etc., the pyramids and other ancient technology could be built only by spacemen. The theory was picked up by Zechariah Sitchin, who spent his life reinterpreting the Bible based on his questionable readings of Sumerian. This is all the Evil One needed to start the new religions we now see. With unexplainable proof of "something", and no response from the churches, people followed whatever they heard.
My concern is the number of people who believe that Yahweh is the name of space pilot, the Elohim are his engineers, and we were created by genetic manipulation on monkeys to help them fix their crashed craft, or alternately, to mine for some rare mineral their planet needed. A woman in our prayer group has just had her marriage destroyed partially by this kind of nonsense, and teenagers who visit face it every day among their brothers and sisters in their own homes.
In my opinion, some aliens are demons, some are fraudulent reports, and some are fantasy that some people cannot tell the difference with reality. The ancient evidence is real, but is evidence of the truth of Genesis, not of misinterpreted Sumerian legends about space pilots. The conspiracy theories are the result of the fear we should have if we do not know how to trust God, and Christians take part because they are justly afraid for this country. But even there, we would be better trusting Scripture than new made-up stories.
I think that to call them all demons is a danger, because I think the church needs a better-thought-out response, more appropriate to all the causes (which is why I summarized some of them).

I dunno. I never read anything about aliens in the bible. Sounds like trickery to me. Like aliens living among us? If they were like...super superior to us, wouldnt they have better things to be doing then messing with us for the last 2000 years? Sounds pretty ridiculous. IF I were them Id be like this world sucks, Im gonna take my research and go somewhere else. Ya know..like they would have lives theyd want to live...I dunno. Probably just my ego. This was a really strange thread. Im glad I read it.

I completely agree with you kenisyes. it would be kind of crazy to automatically label anything we don't know as demonic or as alien or as any other single category. However, we do know that demons exist, whereas aliens are a bit more difficult to prove. Does that mean that all entities that claim to be extraterrestrial are in fact demonic? absolutely not. there is no proof that extraterrestrial beings don't exist either, and with as large as the universe is, it would only make sense that we are not the only intelligent beings out there. That said, a good portion of the claims of extraterrestrial origin simply don't add up.
As for the claims that Yahweh is the name of a space pilot and the Elohim are engineers, or anything of that sort, it seems to me that this would require substantially more evidence than is currently available to us. And the only reliable evidence we have is directly contrary to this supposition. It would be a huge mistake to believe these modern stories are somehow more true than the ancient ones, especially when the new stories have such huge holes in them, such as the stories written by Zechariah Sitchin, which have been shown to be false translations.
As for who or what built the pyramids and other ancient massive stone structures, there is no real proof or even evidence supporting one view over another. It is entirely possible that humans somehow created these structures using methods that have since been forgotten. It is also possible that the "Nephilim" or some demonic presence was involved in creating them. And it is also possible that extraterrestrial entities were responsible for their construction. Unfortunately, we are left with little evidence as to their origins, one way or another.

Are they all extraterrestrial in nature? Are they all demonic in nature? I highly doubt that the answer is quite that "black and white". There are many things that we still cannot explain and for now at least, the only truthful answer anyone can really give is "I don't know." While the ancient evidence of something else existing is rather obvious, we lack the cultural context or knowledge of the eras to be able to decipher these bits of evidence into anything meaningful one way or another.
What we do have is a rather obvious push in modern times to believe in an extraterrestrial alien presence existing, and this particular push, with all its evidence and gaping holes in its explanation leads me personally to believe that whatever the ancient evidence points to, the idea of an alien presence existing here on earth for the last ~10,000 years (or however many thousands of years we are supposed to believe they have existed here) is either fabricated and exaggerated (I have not personally seen any of the physical evidence for myself and therefore cannot conclude that it even exists as presented), or else the presence is not alien at all. (after all, if these beings have been here since as far back as we can remember and then some, they aren't really "alien", are they?)

It is the reason for things like the Spanish inquisition and witch hunts. But with that said, the current evidence and apparent activity of the modern alien phenomenon points to a secretive, seemingly supernatural, deceptive, and even malicious (think about abduction cases) entity that has been here among us for thousands of years, which seems to have a lot more in common with demons than with flesh and blood creatures visiting us from far away worlds.
