Hey guys i just joined CC a few days ago and am trying to figure it all out. I did not know where exactly to post this so it is here in miscellaneous.
This question kind of goes out to those who are in the same situatio as me or those who have been in it or those who are now married.

My Fiancee and I have been together since May of 07 and engaged since Aug of 07. We met in Aug of 06 in Bible College, and soon were friends and around March of 07 we were like bewt friends, which is what i prayed for in the person that God would send to be my husband.
Anyways I know without a diubt that this man is supposed to be my husband, but we have run into rough patches with some things and lately every time we see each other we have arguments, which he says is normal but i dont like it. We have been to pre-marriage counceling last year and that was great but we didnt fight alot then, it has just been within the last few months, our last big argument was Sunday and we discussed it and made up. But im just trying to see is this normal, is there something i can do about it, something he can do, us together?
any comments would be great.

The arguing with come and go, get worse sometimes then better...it is the nature of all relationships....

if you believe he is the one, then you 2 need to figure out how to work things out together. believe in the "US" and focus your energy on that instead of being right or wrong etc. Think, ok, together how can we solve this. How can we work this out to work for us.

hope that helps some

yeah that is what we have been doing. It just scares me so much of all the arguing that we do do. My parents did that and ultimately divorced. We both come from divorced families and dont want that to happen to us and we are sure that it wont but are just scared about the fighting, and honestly i think it is my fault alot of the time becuz i dont agree with how he does something and it gets blown out of proportion.........I dont know what to do sometimes.

Okay, so I'm married and let me tell you it's not a bed of roses. Like any relationship it needs nurturing in order to reach it's full potential. Yes, there will be times when you are gonna wonder what on earth posessed you to enter into such a unity with that person. Moments when you can't stand them. When things they do or say drive you absolutley nuts, but all of that will be far outweighed by the overwhelming love you have for them. Now I'm not naive, I know that there are some people that just aren't meant to be together, and it just doesn't work, and that's really sad.. but on the whole I think every healthy marriage has it's rocky points. There will be issues you come across, but it's how you choose to handle them that counts. Remember that, and trust in God and you'll be just fine. Oh and take it from me.. sometimes arguments in marriages have their place...

Two people will have disagreements from time to time, it's inevitable.

Well we were sipposed to get married in July of 2008 but some things happened and we had to postpone for a while, we are still in the waiting process. We are ready to get married but we just have to deal with some ongoing circumstances at the moment.

But for any other readers here, our relationship has been getting alot better over the last week or so and yues i think it had alot to do with MY attitude with Brett so we are more happy and are fighting way less so i am happy about that.

marriage is just like a bed of roses.

The petals are soft and smell nice.

The thorns are hard and hurt a lot.

The stems dont move and grow in many directions you dont want them too .

You must place a lot of smelly Horse stuff around the base to make it grow

Yes marriage like life is a bed of roses.
