I just don't get it.

Why are some people so mean? I know it's 'coz God isn't in their heart. Still...

I'm really quite a sensitive person. I don't expect any ill will from other people, and i don't intend to do anything hurtful or offensive to others...but some of them still would rather say something hurtful anyway...

Oh well...it's a free country, they say. Freedom of speech. Free will. All that jazz...

Basically, i just posted a heartfelt comment for a video on YouTube. This awesome young man had such a beautiful tenor voice, and i cried when he sang. I merely said that he was one of the blessed ones who has received such a wonderful gift from GOD. Then i check my email, and i saw someone replied to my comment, saying: "Don't bring religion or god in here."

*sigh* it's shallow, i know...but this really bummed me out today...

I know there are far worse words spoken by trolls and such...*sigh again* i hate it when i feel so bad...

Feel free to share your thoughts here about such people.

I know what you mean. I don't get it either and it makes me sad when I see it. But don't let "them" steal your joy. The person you meant that message for may have taken it in and appreciated it. He may have read it and thought nothing of it, but it is a seed. Those who saw it will either be the stony ground or good soil and it will do what it's meant to. You need not worry about it anymore. You were good and righteous and your kind thoughts are what matter.

God bless you, in Jesus' name

They may have gone through or still is going through some pain in their lives. some may have been abused physically, sexually, verbally so on and so on and they react with anger. they dont know the meaning of being nice cause they never had that experience. i say the best thing is to pray for healing for them. we cant change their hearts but God can

It is like a bucket of cold water being flung I often think :) you do something, say something with no unkind motive and wham! The response is so negative! But, people who do not know Jesus are in misery. They are in darkness, cannot help themselves and are against any glimmer of light. We have the big torch!! So keep shining! :) darkness flees from light and shows the way! to the poor souls trapped in darkness. God Bless you <><

Thank you so much, sister! :) i was expecting to be laughed at, for being so sensitive about this...i slept for a while 'coz i couldn't shake off the bummed out feeling. Upon waking and seeing such kind and encouraging messages from you and the brethren, i feel so blessed! :) i no longer feel like a fool for posting this thing. I've never thought of being kind and acknowledging GOD in the good and awesome things that i see as also planting His seeds before...it is such an enlightening thing to know. Thank you so much for this blessing of wisdom, and for lifting up my spirits, sweet dear sister! God bless your kind and caring heart, and ever fill it with love and compassion for others always!!!

Thank you so much for your very kind and sweet words, little brother in Christ! :) you calling me ate really warms my heart! I'm the bunso (youngest), and so, i don't hear that often. You remind me that i should take this with a more mature approach XD but i guess i just feel a little more down than usual now, so i'm pretty hard. other than me being quite sensitive XD

Thank you once again! :) God bless you, and may you continue to encourage and lift up the spirits and hearts of other brethren as well, brother in Christ! May HE move mightily within you, in Jesus' name!!!

Thank you so much for your post, dear sister! :) in my own emotional upset and bewilderment, this perspective truly escaped me...i am blessed that you have opened my eyes to this. Yes, i believe you are right. I will pray for them. If i have need of comforting, more so are they. Love, freedom, and salvation too. GOD bless you for shining GOD's light regarding this, so that i may see :) may HE continue to fill you with wisdom and grace, and touch your heart to continue reaching out to those who are in need. In Jesus' name, amen!!

Thank you for your sweet empathy, and for reminding me that they are indeed lost, dear sister! :) i feel so fortunate to have such wonderful brethren here, opening my eyes to what i'm overlooking, and comforting me with much encouragement and warmth! :D yes, you are right as well. I will indeed pray for them. Now i don't feel so sad for myself. They are the ones who are suffering. They need the LORD at their present condition more so. Thank you sister, and to everyone who has taken the time to encourage, and show me the way. GOD's way :D GOD bless us, continue to guide us, and move mightily within us as we walk on this earth, shining HIS light of love and freedom upon the lost, glorifying and praising GOD with all our ways!! All glory and honor and power and praise be unto our GOD and GOD alone, forever and ever in the holy name of our Lord Jesus Christ!!! :D

a friend of mine says, respect is understanding that everyone is entitled to their views and it is not really necessary that they aligned to the ones we have. so we can respect that, no matter how rude, no matter how foolish or stupid they might sound, we can respect that, and wherever God wants us to correct we do it.
but we can not throw pearls to pigs, nor throw what is holy to dogs(with discernment). Do not take it to heart, nor be afraid or dismayed, Thats' why GOD gave us peace and Joy Yesssss?;)

Joh 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:the He goes on to say not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Oh How GOD has set for us Unimaginable peace, Peace that we can not find in anywhere or from any place in this world.

so what do we do after knowing this and believing this, JESUS continues to say

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

I say this carefully, but sometimes things we take as being mean and cold are misunderstandings by us. I am a sensitive person also, but I am working and praying to be more thick-skinned. some people have dry and not many words personalities. I am a talker, but sometimes because of this I think quiet people are rude and disconnected. but it is a personality difference.

Azura, I think some people get a kick out of being rude to someone on the internet. They don't have to face the person in real life. I often wonder how those behave out in the world. Are they snarky and rude to their families and co workers? I doubt it, I picture them typing away, thinking I'm right you're wrong and that's that.

Please don't let them bother you. There are individuals here I ignore. I didn't put them on ignore, I just ignore them. I don't need to have a hostile conversation with someone to make me feel better. You're a nice person and I'm glad you're here. Don't honor the rude people with your time or energy they don't deserve it.

Cheer up, the Lord Jesus Loves you Today. There are some who use the internet like a weapon. There are some who say they are Christians, who really are the opposite like atheists, and use Yeshua like a shield to attack other's. Where there is no Godly Agape Love, there is no fruit. So they really don't belong on a christian chat site. God is in everything. Laughter air, he created everything. I would send that email to RObo. That is harassment..... God Bless YOu in every second of every day.

Agree with what the others have said. Keep shining the light in the darkness, because the darkness cannot overcome it (John 1:5 ).

Matthew 5:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

I have my moments where I'm not right at all. I don't want to be that way it happens though. I don't want to be angry and I will usually be the first to realize it and make it right. Sometimes I notice myself being mean and the other person doesn't even realize it. Most important thing is forgive. People aren't always at their best. I am guilty all the time of trying to steer the car when I should let God drive. In these moments I am me. I am my worst. I need to be forgiven in those moments and God is faithful to forgive. We should try and follow that example also. Having hurt feelings is difficult also. I've found myself being angry and at the same time being angry that I'm angry if that makes sense. It's because I know I'm wrong. So yeah, don't let the devil bring you down. All these things are tools used by Satan. Remember that all things good come from God. Put your focus there.

God says that He can make all things work for good for those who love Him, who want His will to be done. When these mean people come into my life, I wondered about that! I always felt like hitting them back some way, spent a lot of my time thinking how I could do that.

I have God's word about what things we are to think about on my frig, I try to monitor my thoughts to be in line with that. All my time spent on how I responded to what these mean people did wasn't fitting with that. So I gave what they said and did to Christ, I decided to not be their judge as Christ asked, and let it all go. I prayed for them instead.

Now, I learn to be close to my Lord through their meanness. God uses it for my good.
