My Only Hope

Saturday, 21 May, 2011 15:25

HI Saints

These are several different bits of encouragement I was looking at this morning. Or you might say a few peices of the puzzle.

Here is a song from the Church in Philly

My Only Hope

My only Hope, I look to You,
Confident of Your great love,
Your lovely face, so precious Lord,
Shown to me from above

Jesus, I love you, Jesus, I need you
You're my Love, You're my life, I live by You

You are the pearl of great price, my Lord
I'll sell all I own to have You
You are my treasure, You are my reward
There's nothing I desire except You

--------------------------------------------------
Psalm 34:18.
The Lord is near to the broken hearted
And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

--------------------------------------------------
A little something from Fenelon "The Seeking Heart"

Look only to God. Learn to live without those things that God sees fit to take away from you.
There are certain things that God wants you to be detached from. Do you see that God allows people to respond to you in many different ways in order to mold you?
Trust God without fear. Learn to accept your weakness as you allow God to change you. There is no use in being impatient or depressed about your faults. Make a habit of inwardly bringing yourself before God as often as you can during the day. Doing this will calm you down.
----------------------------------------------------

Today we can asked ourselves what do we desire? What do we want? What do we need? OR
We might asked Lord what do you need today, what do you want today, what is your desire?

And then again, we might realize how one we are with him.

Love in Him
to other brothers and sisters in Him :)

Hi Saints

Below is something from Marcie. A sister in Philly. Please everyone read what she is sharing here. Thanks Marcie.

Love in Him
Don

From Marcie
Oh, so simple. . .what does it take to believe. . .only to believe that Jesus IS and who He is. My only Hope. What does it matter what you feel. . .believe in the Spirit of God who lives inside of you. There is a confidence in knowing (which comes from the Spirit, not the mind) that He is. . .it gives you hope even if you don't "feel" faith. . .then your hope builds faith which is our precious gift from the Lord. All of this works outside of our human capacity. Don't try to figure it out. . .just believe. . .it's a choice! Choose Him.

Hi Saints

Below is a response from Ervin in Albania. You need to read this and read the pain and redemption that Christ has brought in this brother's life. Read it and be encouraged. Thanks Ervin so much for sharing.

HI brother Don!

Regarding Questions:
There is one need that you have had that the Lord has never met. If he fulfilled that need would you love him more?

Jesus Christ is my daily need and I need to decrease so He can increase in me. He takes away that we can find Him.

Next, How about what Jenny wrote about blind faith. Have you ever been there, were your feeling for the Lord were totaling gone, were it seems that he was so far a way, all you spiritual impulses seemed dead, tempted to go crazy on every corner of your life but some how and some way you made it through the valley of the shadow of death. Have you ever been there or maybe your there now. What could you tell us about this?

I have been in difficult even hopeless situations that I have turned to Him alone and I have gone through with Him.

Excerpts from an email I received:
At times I still am baffled by the stinking rotten attitudes that believers harbor towards one another. Grudges, un-forgiveness and downright distain that is exhibited is just beyond my understanding. That the Lord is somehow using these things to mold us is a great comfort to me. Just pushes me further to Him.
I guess my question is does it push you further into him or further away from him? It bitterness knocking on your door?

This happens that I may cling more in Him. Do not let bitterness take root, but accept all that happens by the hand of the Father. Forgiveness brings Life and healing. Behold Jesus in brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Finally, If everything was going right in your life and you had everything you needed and wanted would it cause you love the Lord more?

Having everything right can hinder me to follow Him freely. In His Love only I am fulfilled.

Love in Jesus
Ervin
