Women over the age of 50 should get this one.

I'm sleeping
And right in the middle of a good dream
Like all at once I wake up
From something that keeps knockin' at my brain.
Before I go insane I hold my pillow to my head
And spring up in my bed
Screaming out the words I dread ________________?

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
‘Neath the halo of a streetlamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the....
One of my all time favorites! (I'm two pages behind, so figure someone already named it. lol)

And this written by the dude who not only put me on his ignore list, but keeps telling everyone else to, also.

This one is going to make me laugh the whole day!
I've NEVER told anyone to do that. I've never said that about anyone on CC.

Do you lie to justify your sin?

Laugh about that.:D

Call it sacrilege, but my favorite version of this song is actually NOT Simon and Garfunkel. Horrifying, I know! I really think these guys do a good job, though. When I first heard it I thought it was one guy separately recording both vocal parts, because they sounded so closely interwoven. It is actually in a higher key than the original.

ok.... But, falls WAY short of the original. I think they tried to turn it into Bubble Gum Music..

The letter that you wrote me made me stop and wonder why
But I guess you felt like you had to set things right
Just remember this, my girl, when you look up in the sky
You can see the stars and still not see the light (that's right)
And I'm _______________?

Would you believe we sang parts of it in church to the Lord...brought the Spirit of God strong!

Yes! Highly sacrileges...

but...
-- a lot cuter than Simon or Garfunkel ever were (cuter than 99.999% of the earth's population -- wow! Hotties, but I'm too old to notice.)
-- can't beat that Gaelic lilt in their voices.
-- the original sure should have had that many violins to go along with it.

Wow! I think even Simon and/or Garfunkel would give that a standing ovation.

But, yeah! Highly sacrileges. :p

(And I just posted it without explanation on FB. lol)

Yeah, because I have nothing better then to go back through your posts in the last month to find it. Seriously, dude? I can even remember you were one of the few people sticking up for me when I quit this site. That was 20 months ago. You don't think I can remember something you said about a month ago?

You're not on my ignore anymore, but you often times tell others to put me on ignore. Truthfully, you aren't on ignore anymore because your words don't match your action so nothing worth considering one way or the other.

I only know this song because I used the title for a chapter title in my book, but I'm hoping folks under 40 will know it. (Could be wrong. Might never have been a hit. lol)

She had a pretty face
But her head was up in space
She needed to come back down to earth

I feel better. They were big when I was a teen, in that precious time when I was way too cool to like "bubble gum rock."

(And this from the person no longer afraid to say I like Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow. And, yes, I loved disco. lol)

How about this one. Will miss the first line as you lot will get it.

"When the lights are low,
And the flickering shadows,
Softly come and go..."
OK. I will say it. It is not that modern. Here is the title.
" Just a song at twilight".

Give your self a shiney if you got it!

I still remember this episode of the Partridge Family when they sang the song, "I Think I Love You."

Played it 'til my fingers bled
