You're right in that it may be confusing for new members in posting in the 'correct' forum or thread without being retaliated against by smart alec comments. Personally, I take no offense wherever a member may post regardless of the topic. Too many petty nitpicking remarks or personal attacks are the reason that a new member will immediately leave the site or is too discouraged to post anymore for fear of doing something 'wrong'. Sad really.
yeah my sentiments exactly.

Hey Joe, fully understand...it is hard to get others to talk here, unless you want to get into a debate over who is right. I just want to form relationships of other forms too. Like "How has your day been?"
I feel the same way. Mainly I'm just here for the fellowship and like to keep things light and upbeat. I'm not really into heated biblical debates that are not spiritually uplifting or even interesting for that matter. A lot of peeps post in the BDF because they believe that their point of view is superior and will not hesitate to let you know it. The only good thread in the BDF is the Speak Your Mind thread, which is usually warm and positive. Yeah, its probably in the 'wrong' forum but personally I don't give a squat. It's a fun place to hang out.

I grew up in Michigan and now live in Florida. In November 2014 my wife and I got married in Las Vegas. Saw the Hoover Dam, that was kind of cool. I agree with you as all things are relative.

Well, there are a lot of divorced members here so you're not alone in this. My first marriage was a disaster and ended after 6 1/2 years. I was alone and celibate for 18 years until I met a woman online in 2002 and was married. She was a sweet woman but had a lot of health issues and died in 2014. I met my current, and last wife on this site.

I have a sweetheart mom also and my wife loves to sew.

Your ex-husband did not leave you for someone better, he just didn't realize and appreciate the wife that he had.

I have a 37 year old daughter who just recently gave birth to twin boys to go along with her 3 girls. My wife has a 37 year old daughter too. We share the grand kids and will be seeing them in Michigan in the fall.

My wife is a pretty good cook. I do a little cooking as well. My specialty is French Toast.
Awww, Thank you so much for telling me more about you life
It s amazing how God works things out for us
Praise God...he Is so good and wonderful!

Hello Newcomers, nice to meet you. I joined in 2011 but as you can see by my post count, I don't post much. I guess I read threads here more than I post. Take your time, look around and make yourself at home. Have a great day, afternoon or evening wherever you are in the world.

I think this is a great thread Joe! I don't think we need to be technical about everything, it's nice to have a thread that someone new can come and share more. I'll be honest I hardly ever read the New Member introduction forum. So this cool.

I grew up in Texas, and now live in..........Texas.

Used to be west Texas, but now we're in the metroplex...

This is a satellite view of the metroplex at night.. I live up just under McKinney.... the yellow line around it is the outline of the state of Connecticut.

"never ask a man if he's from Texas. If he is, he'll tell you... if he isn't, there's no need to embarrass him".....

I've always thought that was funny...

(and, I'm not exactly a "newbie" either..)

Hay Susanna,

we heard that down in Texas most every one 'packs', do you carry?

I've got neighbors, male and female, 'older' that myself, here in Fla..,
that don't go anywhere without their muscle-mules'...it's getting really scary
for so many here: it's really a heart-breaker, especially when you've known them
for so long and remember when they were once so 'secure' in their lives, and now,
they are way beyond feeling 'safe' without carrying...

hub and I don't, but you just wouldn't believe who does out here in our parts...
