As a follower of The Way, I do not 'GO' to church, rather, "IAM" The Church (we are). Time to end building worship, preacher worship, cliques and cults, false doctrines, heresies, apostasy, and hypocrisy. The New Testament 'church' is EKKLESIA, called out, to 'come out of her my people, be not partakers of her sins and receivers of her plagues...'. Many people today 'home-church' which was the model of the New Testament church, though that for many just may be another gathering together of the deceived, for some it is not.

PEOPLE THINK CHURCH IS A PLACE TO PRAY. TEENAGERS ALSO. I READ A STORY ABOUT A GUY WHO LOST A FRIEND, AND SAID WELL HE NOW WILL GO TO CHURCH AND PRAY. ONLY BEING IN A CHURCH ONE OTHER TIME IN HIS LIFE, SO HE PRAYED ONLY ONCE, HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF NO RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST THE SAVIOR. A MAN ONCE SAID, I GO TO CHURCH TO SEE WHATS GOING ON. THE FACT HERE IS THIS. " THOSE WHO WORSHIP THE LORD, MUST DO SO IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. ANYONE CAN GO INTO A BUILDING WITH THEIR EYES CLOSED AND EARS AND MIND SOMEWHERE ELSE, WHAT ABOUT PRAYING AT HOME. JESUS SAY DO NOT CEASE TO PRAY. OH YEAH I GO TO CHURCH BUT WE ARE THE CHURCH. CHURCH CAN BE ANYWHERE WHERE A BELIEVER GATHERS AND BREAKS BREAD WITH ANOTHER, ANYWHERE ANYWHERE AT ALL. IN A RESTAURANT, A PARK YOUR BACKYARD. JESUS IS MY PASTOR, RABBI AND THERE IS NO BETTER. WHEN ONE GOES TO A BUILDING CHURCH, IT SHOULD BE WITH LOVE AND NO JUDGEMENT, CONDEMNATION, OR CRITISISM OF PEOPLE OR PASTOR, OR ANYTHING. IF THERE IS SUCH IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR THAT PERSON NOT TO GO, BECAUSE THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS HAVE BEEN BREACHED, IN DISREGARDING HIS WORDS. SO STAY HOME, IF YOUR NOT GOING WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE FOR GRADITUDE.

or its all about money give give give ,,,
or the preacher is so dull i drop off to sleep ,,,,

or you can be told ** your just the kind of guy we are looking for just sit there for a few years and soon after that we will use you ,,,, **

now this may not be what you find and if thats the case thats great ,,,,, but its been my case

I appreciate your position and do not intend to discourage any from their particular place in their walk, but rather to encourage to a fuller, richer walk. By all means, gather together to study and share the word of God. Each comes to understanding at different times. Don't let a building or a gathering be a crutch to you or those around you. I certainly will not call a person out who is still in infancy and in need of nurturing. A 'church' as you see it is a greenhouse, a protective place for new growth to occur. Not much fruit grows in a greenhouse though. While each culture can be different, human nature is the same. Press on with your studies, growing to show yourself an approved worker.

This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won't be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.

And remember, our Lord's patience gives people time to be saved. This is what Paul also wrote with the wisdom God gave him--speaking of these things in all of his letters. Some of his comments are hard to understand, and those who are ignorant and unstable have twisted his letters to mean something quite different, just as they do with other parts of Scripture. And this will result in their destruction. I am warning you ahead of time, dear friends. Be on guard so that you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing.

Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.

We are told to gather for fellowship purposes. So no matter what country I am in, if I speak the language, I will be in closest church Sunday morning.

I am an introvert by nature (aka wall flower) so pretty much no one ever speaks to me if they do not already know me, so I have problems calling this fellowship. I have often thought that were I not there, no one would have noticed, if you know what I mean.

But, I listen to the music and message then quietly slink out following however long it took for me to tire of the avoidance I find in churches I visit.

Back home, I am a regular, and I do have fellowship with the few whom know me.

I always go to Church every Sunday but if there are conflicts where in I have to work during Sunday. I always opt to find another church to go worship and listen GOD's word. It's like my day is not complete if I don't go to church. Some people refuse to go to church because they think it's a waste of time and some were once deceived by false teachers. That is why we must be fully equipped with God's word to see the wrong teachings in that certain church. The nice thing about being a member of a certain church is that they are there to give you encouragement and most of all rebuke you when you are not walking in integrity.

I haven't been to Church in a few years now. :( - For me, I feel like I need Church. I feel that it helps me more with my worship.

Since we have been in Texas, way away from our hometown/state, I haven't been. Here recently though I have been getting the strong urge to go. I looked into a Church here that's not far from our house, and I'm wanting to give it a try. I just need to work up the courage to quit being shy and go.

Once we're back in Tennessee though (that day cannot come fast enough!), I will be attending Church whenever I can!! I love my Church there! I am also going to check out my husband's uncle's Church once we're back as well. :)
