With the next console gen coming out soon and all the classic gaming memories too which one has been your system of choice most consistently?

we got a 360 however many years ago mostly for the number & quality of games compared to the PS3. i figured graphically there wasn't much difference & even though paying for mulitplayer on xbox bothers me, we aren't really interested in any multiplayer anyway nor in a blueray player, so no big deal.

i'm not thinking about a new console until at least december 2014 - but as of now, with the mandatory internet access, always-on kinect, the restrictions on sharing & owning content -- i'm leaning towards a PS4. i've liked the xbox controller better in the past and most of the games i'm interested in have been less buggy on xbox, but an always-on camera and microphone in my living room that must connect to the internet daily is sort of a deal-breaker haha.

nintendo's consoles & their games are more gimmick than substance IMO. i tried pretty hard to talk my son out of a wii-U, but he bought one anyway, and it only took about a day of messing with it for him to agree all the complaints i had about it were spot-on or worse than i had even anticipated. that's a $400 curio-cabinet item now =\

I bought 3 gamecubes and 3 dreamcasts. Not because they broke or anything, but because they are the best and I liked to have extras in order to run tournaments for some games.

I had to mod my wii to make it something that was remotely fulfill to my desires. =_= I don't like turning on the wiimotes just to open a game that doesn't need a wiimote to play.

Well I've always preferred Playstation. All the way from PS1 to the upcoming PS4. But I do have a 360, and a Wii, Gamecube, original Xbox for the exclusives they have. Or games that are too glitchy on PS3 (which is not very many) then get on 360.

For me Blu-ray was a big plus to getting a PS3.
Also I've always liked the PS controllers.
But the 360 was a great console. So was the original Xbox tho I would still go with PS2.

But the last great console Nintendo had was the Gamecube. I agree the Wii is just too gimicky.
But now the Xbox has really messed up with all the crap they implemented. I was gonna get an XboxOne until all that was made apparant... now for the next gen it will just be PS4 and Wii-U for me.

But I suppose all consoles will eventually do what the XboxOne is doing... that's when I just stick with retro games.

I don't game much anymore, but when I do, I'm a PC gamer. I'm currently working through "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood" (off and on) and enjoying some "Minecraft".

But, I also think the cake is a lie and I'm late for the train to Hogwarts.
Ta-ta, mate!

Me 2...............PS-2 that is.........but it is getting difficult to find games, control paddles to replace the ones I have worn out.

What I can find on line are so expensive, I just do without............

As for PC Games.............my most favorite is AD 1602 which I used to be able to purchase for about ten bucks........FOR YEARS.......but now it's around 50 bucks on line, and I won't pay that........... :)

Still looking for a NASCAR 2005 for PS2, which is the best version in my opinion, but they are hard to come by I guess.

Nintendo because I grew up playing Mario, Duck Hunt, Kid Icarus, etc. Before Nintendo, we had a Sega Mastersystem, played Hang On and some shooting game that I forgot the name to. Still had up to 5 years ago until it went missing. Still worked too, but it caused me to have myoclonic and absence seizures lol.

I just downloaded a game app for iPhone called Mikey Shorts. It's just like old school Nintendo super Mario :)
